Chapter 126 The 3nd Project
Chapter 126 The 3nd Project
"Eris, Harry," Mrs. Weasley greeted them warmly after entering the small meeting room next to the hall and gave each of them a warm hug.
The eldest son of the Weasley family: Bill Weasley, also came to Hogwarts.
"I didn't expect you would come here specially!" Harry said in surprise.
At this time, several warriors were communicating with their families. Draco was talking to his mother. His mother wrinkled her nose, frowned, and looked very worried. Draco seemed to be whispering comfort.
Cedric was at his place at the door, communicating with his parents, Mr. Diggory's face was full of pride;
Viktor was also speaking rapidly in Bulgarian to a dark-haired couple. The gloomy expression on Viktor's face and his hooked nose were exactly like his father's.
Fleur and her sister Gabrielle were also speaking French to their mother, but Fleur kept glancing in Bill's direction.
"Miss Delacour seems to have fallen in love with you at first sight, Bill." Aris whispered to Bill.
Bill looked at Fleur curiously. Fleur smiled brightly and waved at Bill. Bill smiled and nodded politely. Aris felt that he might have seen it wrong. Fleur's cheeks turned red.
"Take us for a walk, Aris, Harry," Mrs. Weasley suggested.
Mr. Diggory snorted in an ambiguous tone as they passed him, and his wife quickly tugged on his arm and greeted Mrs. Weasley with a smile.
After chatting with Mrs. Diggory for a while, Aris and Harry took Mrs. Weasley and Bill to stroll around the huge Hogwarts.
Many portraits greeted Mrs. Weasley and Bill enthusiastically. They left the castle and saw Durmstrang's large ship on the shore of Black Lake; they saw Beauxbatons' house-sized carriage at the hunting grounds; and they also saw Hagrid's cabin.
We walked around until noon and came to the restaurant. Mrs. Weasley, who was sitting at the Gryffindor table, said with emotion: "I don't have to worry about lunch and dinner. I can finally relax for a day. I wonder how Arthur will solve the problem of lunch."
"Mom? Bill?" Ron, who had just finished his exam, saw his mother and elder brother and asked with some surprise, "Why are you here?"
Hermione's exam was over, and she sat next to Aries, greeting Mrs. Weasley politely.
"Dumbledore invited us here," Bill said. "He hoped that after Aries and Harry finished the game, they would have some real supporters standing by their side. Dad will also come to the game in the evening. Charlie was supposed to come too, but he was too busy with work in Romania to get away. And Percy, oh! He's even harder to describe..."
"How were the exams, Ron?" Mrs. Weasley asked Ron.
Ron shook his head with an unpleasant expression. "It's terrible," Ron said bitterly, "I can't remember the names of the goblins during the goblin rebellion..."
"Hey...Mom!" Fred greeted with surprise.
"Are you here to see your future daughter-in-law?" George said with a grin, "Little Ronnie is in love..."
Ginny sat down next to her mother with a smile on her face, and she also pulled the reserved Lavender Brown over with her.
Ron's face flushed red, even his ears turned red, and Ron said quickly: "I'm not... I didn't... Don't talk nonsense..."
Lavender looked a little disappointed, "Luoluo..."
"Not here, Lavender..." Ron said pleadingly.
Mrs. Weasley had the look of an experienced person. She asked Lavender to sit down next to her, took Lavender's hand, and asked Lavender something in a low voice.
Lavender, with a blushing face, also responded in a low voice, and Ron lowered his head as if he wanted to bury himself under the table.
Hermione placed a plate of exquisite food in front of Aries, who smiled and said, "I feel like we're back at the Burrow again."
The afternoon passed quickly. Aris and Harry took Mrs. Weasley and Bill for a stroll in the castle. Ron, Hermione and the other Weasleys who had finished their afternoon exams also gradually joined in.
It was not until dinner time that Mr. Weasley arrived as scheduled. He patted Aries and Harry on the shoulders and said, "You have done very well, kids. There is no need to feel stressed about the next competition. After all, it is the last event, isn't it?"
Harry smiled happily, and Aeris felt that Harry's nervousness had completely disappeared.
When everyone arrived at the Gryffindor table, the atmosphere at the guest of honor seat was a little subtle, and Hagrid would glance at Madam Maxime from time to time.
The referee who replaced Mr. Crouch was no longer Percy, but the current Minister of Magic: Cornelius Fudge. Fudge's face looked a little unhappy now. He seemed to have noticed the difference between Madame Maxime and Hagrid, and was quite dissatisfied with Professor Dumbledore's trust in them.
"The Ministry of Magic believes that it is too early for Percy to serve as a referee for such an important event," said Mr. Weasley. "It is also unusual for old Barty to keep asking for leave. He has never asked for leave so frequently. Fudge asked Percy to focus on his assistant work..."
"So the Minister of Magic will personally serve as the judge?" said Aris.
"That's right," said Mr. Weasley, "For the first time in his career, Percy has expressed his dissatisfaction with the Minister..."
The dinner was very sumptuous. Hermione kept putting Aries' favorite dishes in front of him, and Aries ate with relish as always.
"You're not really using this method to hide your nervousness, are you?" Hermione looked at Aris and asked with a smile.
"How could that be?" Aeris said, "But you do care about me, Miss Not Nervous... I mean... Miss Know-It-All..."
Hermione's smile grew even sweeter.
The time was almost up. Professor Dumbledore stood up and said in a gentle and clear voice, "Ladies and gentlemen, in five minutes I will invite everyone to go to the Quidditch field to watch the final match of the Triwizard Tournament. Now, warriors, please follow Mr. Bagman and go to the competition venue first."
Aris and Harry stood up. The Gryffindor classmates applauded them. The Weasleys wished them good luck. Aris patted Hermione on the shoulder and whispered in her ear, "Don't worry..."
Aeris and Harry joined Draco and Cedric, while Viktor and Fleur followed suit, with Mr. Bagman leading the way in high spirits.
When they were almost at the competition venue, Mr. Bagman took a few slow steps and whispered something to Harry. Aeris didn't hear it, but he probably just asked Harry how he was doing and if he needed any help.
When they arrived at the Quidditch field, it had completely changed. A wall made of plants, at least twenty feet high, surrounded the edge of the field. Now they were standing in front of a gap, which should be the entrance to the maze.
It wasn't long before spectators started to enter the viewing area. Almost all the professors came to the edge of the maze, and Professor McGonagall walked over with a serious expression.
"We will patrol the periphery of the maze," said Professor McGonagall. "If you encounter difficulties that you cannot solve, send out red sparks and we will rush to support you. This is just a game. You don't need to risk your life. Do it according to your ability. Do you understand?"
The warriors all nodded, and the professors began to spread out around the maze.
Mr. Bagman began to speak using the Amplifying Charm: "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the final event of the Triwizard Tournament. The scores of the warriors are as follows: Aeris Grindelwald... 88 points; Draco Malfoy... 87 points; Harry Potter and Cedric Diggory... 86 points; Viktor Krum... 85 points; Since Miss Delacour failed to complete the second event, Beauxbatons School is temporarily ranked third."
"And now," said Mr. Bagman, "Mr. Grindelwald, at the sound of the salute you will enter the maze and count to three... one..."
With a "boom", a salute sounded and everyone looked towards the source of the sound. Mr. Filch stood beside the smoking salute, spreading his hands helplessly.
Aeris took a deep breath and plunged into the entrance of the maze.
After entering the maze, Aeris walked along the passage for more than ten yards, then closed his eyes and sensed. Aeris now trusted his intuition very much. He identified a direction and walked in that direction.
After walking a short distance, there was a corner in front of us, and a tall man who looked like Mads Mikkelsen walked out from the corner.
Aes was stunned for a moment, and the man smiled gently at Aes, as if he wanted to say something.
Aries just raised his wand, "Funny, funny~" Aries chanted.
With a whoosh, the man turned into a wisp of smoke and disappeared.
"It's a Boggart indeed," Aeris muttered to himself, "It seems I am quite obsessed with this grandfather I have never met!"
Aes picked a direction and walked in that direction, turning a few corners and removing several spells, talismans and traps.
Suddenly, a figure rushed out from a corner and threw himself into Aeris' arms in panic. Aeris saw that the person was Draco.
"Run...run...Grindelwald..." Draco said in panic, "Blade-Ended Skrewt...a big Blade-Ended Skrewt..."
A scorching heat wave came from the corner, and Aeris quickly pulled Draco back. A blast-tailed skrewt that was at least twelve feet long rushed out.
Aeris quickly waved his wand, and countless streams of water appeared out of nowhere, sweeping towards the exploding-tailed skrewt.
Aeris pointed his wand at the ground where the skrewt was. The ground became soft and trapped the huge body of the skrewt.
The water flow, together with the soft soil, instantly turned into a small swamp, temporarily trapping the blasting-tailed skrewt.
"Run quickly..." In fact, there was no need for Aristotle to say more, because Draco had already turned a corner and disappeared.
"What a good brother!" Aris gritted his teeth, "What a loyal man!"
Eris continued to move forward, but he came into a dead end several times. He had to stop and close his eyes to sense, and then a shrill scream rang out.
Aeris hurried in that direction, turned a corner, and saw Viktor torturing Fleur with the Cruciatus Curse.
Viktor looked at Aesop with empty eyes and cast an evil curse, but Aesop dodged it deftly and waved his wand. Countless vines on the plant wall seemed to come alive and tied Viktor up tightly in an instant.
Viktor was still struggling violently. Aeris waved his wand again, and a thick vine hit the back of Viktor's head. Viktor's eyes rolled back and he fainted.
Aeris walked up to Fleur, who was curled up on the ground. Fleur was still twitching all over. Aeris squatted down and gently patted Fleur's shoulder.
"Please...please...don't..." Furong sobbed, completely losing her usual arrogant look.
"Miss Delacour...Miss Delacour, it's okay." Aeris said softly.
Seeing that it was Aries, Fleur threw herself into Aries' arms regardless, sobbing softly, and soon her tears soaked the clothes on Aries' shoulders.
Aries patted Fleur's back somewhat stiffly. Apart from Hermione and his sister, Aries had never been hugged by any other girl. Maybe in his previous life, his own white moonlight...
Now is not the time to think about these things. Aeris shook his head and gently pushed Fleur away. "Are you okay, Miss Delacour?" Aeris asked softly, "If you withdraw now, no one will blame you..."
"No..." Furong gently wiped away her tears, "I will try again. Thank you, you could have left me alone."
"Don't talk nonsense." Aeris stood up and shot red sparks into the sky. The sparks floated above the unconscious Viktor, bright and dazzling.
"He is simply a monster," Fleur said. "He actually used the Cruciatus Curse on me. You are really... kind. If it were me, I would definitely ignore him."
"He's under the Imperius Curse," Aeris said as he walked in one direction. "He doesn't know what he's done."
Fleur hurried to catch up with Aeris, and they came to a fork in the road. Aeris looked to the left and found no danger.
"We may have to separate, Miss Delacour," said Aeris. "The judges will not allow the champions to cooperate with each other..."
When Eris looked at Fleur again, Fleur came over and kissed both of Eris' cheeks. Eris took two steps back somewhat unnaturally.
"Just call me Furong," Furong said, "I just want to express my gratitude. Thank you again. Is your name Elize?"
"Aris!" Aris said. "Aris Grindelwald."
"Well... good luck to you, Aeris..." Fleur tried to get closer to Aeris again, but Aeris quickly took a few steps back.
"Once...thank you...is enough...Fleur!" Aeris said somewhat unnaturally.
"Are you worried that your girlfriend will be unhappy?" Furong said teasingly.
Aeris smiled awkwardly, "Don't you like that red-haired boy? The one with long hair and a lot of accessories?" Aeris changed the subject a little stiffly, but Furong seemed very happy.
"Can you tell me his name?" Fleur asked quickly, looking at Aeris expectantly.
"Of course, his name is: Bill Weasley, and he works at Gringotts in Egypt," said Aris.
Fleur looked at Aeris deeply, then smiled and said, "Thank you again, Aeris!" Fleur waved at Aeris, then walked towards the fork in the road to the right without hesitation.
"It's so damn terrible..." Eris muttered to himself and walked towards the fork in the road on the left.
After getting lost several times and entering a dead end several times, in a long passage, a magical creature blocked Eris' way.
This creature had a beautiful woman's head on a huge lion's body. Its wings on the lion's body sometimes extended and sometimes retracted, and its huge body blocked the entire passage.
"Oh my god!" Aeres exclaimed, "Sphinx?"
The Sphinx spoke in a melodious and gentle voice: "You are close to your goal. If you want to reach your destination as quickly as possible, you have to go through me."
"You won't let me through, will you?" said Aeris.
"That's right," said the Sphinx, "Answer my riddle correctly once and I will let you pass. If you answer incorrectly, I will attack you. If you choose not to accept my test, you can leave in peace."
"Come," said Aeris, "I also want to hear the famous riddle of the Sphinx."
The Sphinx began to ask riddles: "Guess what? We can't see or touch it, but it's always with us. A noble king or a shabby beggar is no different in front of it. It can teach us knowledge and increase our experience, but it can also take away our loved ones. It can swallow rivers and mountains, and it can also decay the earth and corpses. What is it?"
"Time flies, day and night," Aeris said thoughtfully, "time..."
The Sphinx smiled gently, a very friendly smile, and stepped aside, indicating that Eris could pass.
Eris hurried past quickly. When he passed the Sphinx, he whispered, "Thank you..."
