Positive little sun, magical girl, I am awesome

Chapter 263=-=

Lilith was awakened by a burst of light. When she opened her eyes, she saw magical fireworks falling like meteors, flickering in the sky and then disappearing into the darkness.

"They are looking for us..." Lilith started to speak, but was startled by her own hoarse voice.

Fortunately, her temples no longer felt a stabbing pain, and the pain of mental exhaustion finally disappeared.

"I should have recovered a lot. Let's go find Lu now—" Lilith was talking and suddenly she realized that it was extremely quiet around her.

"Ian?"

Lilith subconsciously reached out her hand to the side, but felt something burning hot.

She hurriedly turned on the lighting spell and looked at her partner next to her. His whole body was covered with powder sprinkled by Lilith in the dark. Most of the wounds had dried and solidified. His body and face were covered in blood. He was unconscious with his head tilted, but one hand was still firmly holding the branch on Lilith's side, as if afraid that she would fall.

"Ian!" Lilith called him while wiping his face with her sleeve. He looked terrible and there was no blood on his lips.

How could this happen? She had clearly sprinkled a lot of powder.

Looking down, she found a small stain of blood under Ian's body. Lilith was stunned, turned Ian over with great effort, and then gasped.

There were so many wounds on Ian's back. The skin and flesh on the wounds had turned white and turned up, looking extremely hideous.

Lilith was stunned for a moment, then quickly took out the powder from the ring and sprinkled it on his back without paying. Then she took out a bandage and tied her sword and Ian's legs tightly together. She did not show mercy even though Ian was trembling in a coma.

"If you don't do this, your bones will become crooked and Phoebe will break them again." Lilith gritted her teeth and tied the knot tightly, comforting the unconscious Ian and also cheering herself up.

Then she began to chant healing spells, and an orange-yellow light lit up from under her feet. This time it finally did not go out. The wounds on Ian's body with white flesh turning over began to heal little by little, and the lumps on his legs also became smaller. After a long time, Lilith finally dared to stop and observe Ian's condition again.

He still felt hot to the touch, but at least the external injuries were no longer visible. Lilith carefully gave him a few drops of water, and finally relaxed a little and began to observe her surroundings.

With the help of the lighting magic, they could vaguely see a terrace not far away from them, but it was still some distance away from the branch where Lilith was. If she was with someone, she would never be able to jump over using the branches.

She looked at the giant tree behind her - perhaps, she could use elven magic to catalyze its branches to extend forward to the terrace of the corridor over there?

But for a tree of this size, she didn't know if her mental strength was enough. Thinking of this, Lilith squatted down and placed her hand on the tree, chanting silently. But she stopped not long after she started.

After she urged her mental power to penetrate the tree, it did not cause any shock to the elemental force. It was like throwing sand into the sea, and there was no response.

Because she has to breed for Ozler every year, and because teacher Wanda likes to use her as free labor, Lilith has to deal with various plants many times. Every time she uses elven magic, she seems to have synaesthesia with the plants. Sometimes she even feels that she can feel the flowers and plants swaying with joy because of the nourishment of the wood element.

But this time, she felt nothing. Lilith was stunned for a moment, and suddenly realized that the tree was completely dead.

"Lilith..." A whispering voice sounded in her ear, and Lilith quickly turned around.

"Ian! You're awake!" Lilith pulled herself out of her thoughts and quickly turned around to check on her partner. "Are you okay?"

"I'm... fine." Ian managed to answer, then asked, "What's wrong with you?"

As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw Lilith kneeling dejectedly on a tree branch.

"I... I'm just thinking of a way to get back over there." Lilith touched the rough tree trunk under her hand, unwilling to elaborate on her inexplicable feelings. When her companions were missing, she actually felt inexplicably sad because of a dead tree.

But such a tall creature should be under the canopy, stretching its branches to enjoy the sunshine and becoming a home for countless birds, instead of dying alone in the dark underground...

"Gurgle." A familiar and reassuring voice came from the branch on the other side.

Lilith raised her head with the light in her hand, and discovered that the gargoyle had already settled on a branch higher up on the side, crouching and looking down at them.

"Is it already dark..." Lilith was surprised. She didn't expect that they had wasted so much time. Then she became angry and looked at the guy above - "You came out without telling me! I'm still here, foolishly thinking about how to get up!"

The gargoyle didn't know why Lilith got angry at it as soon as she woke up, but it still flew down obediently and stretched out its hand to her.

Forget it, Lilith sighed dejectedly - she shouldn't take her anger out on this guy, it's not his fault.

She opened her hands, and a bunch of silver-white magic fireworks suddenly rose from her hands and went upwards.

After waiting for a while, she saw another bunch of fireworks lighting up not far above her.

"Let's go, fly there." Lilith confirmed the location and commanded the gargoyles to fly towards the main force.

"Lilith!"

As soon as she landed, Lulu saw her miserable appearance and rushed over to hug her with red eyes.

"Who else is missing?" Lilith patted Lulu's head soothingly and asked the others behind her.

"Everyone is here, except... Lucas." Jaina said softly.

Lulu burst into tears in front of Lilith, "It's all because of me—"

"Don't talk nonsense, Lulu." Bobby immediately interrupted her self-blame, "This is the duty of the guardian. Lucas... completed his mission."

"Don't talk like it's a funeral speech." Lilith quickly stopped Bobby from making an unlucky speech. "Whether he's dead or alive, the most important thing now is to find him. We can't leave him in this damn place—"

She turned to look at Ian, who looked pale, and said, "You stay with them."

"No, I--" Ian shook his head and wanted to refuse. He was a guardian, how could he leave his partner? But when the gargoyle retreated, he couldn't even stand steadily.

"You need to continue treatment. Let Jaina help you. She is much better than me at using medicine." Lilith pushed him to sit on the floor without any explanation, while shaking out various supplies from the ring.

"I'll go down to find Lucas," Lilith decided to set off immediately after settling Ian down. There was no time to delay. "You guys hurry up and get some supplies and rest. If I can't find him, we need to go back to Goletia and ask the teacher for help."

"You can't act alone." Bobby came up. Ian couldn't move, and Lucas's life or death was unknown. He couldn't let Lilith, a magician, go deep underground alone.

"Then let's go together." Lilith didn't want to waste time arguing, so she pulled Bobby up to ride on the gargoyle and headed towards the darkness again.
