Chapter 56 "Fans"
Chapter 56 "Fans"
Shen Qing pulled out another tissue and handed it to Wei Hongsi.
Wei Hongsi was taken aback. The blood on his lips had been seeping from his mouth, but he had already wiped it clean, and the wound had stopped bleeding long ago. What was the point of needing tissues?
However, he still took it. Then he saw Shen Qing put her palm in front of her mouth and make a wiping motion.
Wei Hongsi was a little confused, but he did as he was told, wiping his mouth thoroughly. Only then did he notice that the tissue in his hand was a little damp, but not as wet as a wet wipe; it was something he had never used before.
After wiping, he held the tissue up to his eyes and noticed something shiny on it. Looking at Shen Qing again, he suddenly realized. Her forehead and brow bone, illuminated by the hallway lights, reflected tiny sparkles; he couldn't tell what kind of makeup she was wearing.
So he must have been hit on the forehead earlier, which caused the matter to transfer. It seems she was wearing contact lenses today, otherwise her eyesight definitely wouldn't be that good.
"Thank you," Wei Hongsi said again.
"I should be thanking you," Shen Qing said, glancing back at her lounge before turning back and leaning slightly forward, whispering, "Otherwise, I might have been disfigured!"
She covered her mouth and chuckled softly, her eyes sparkling with a playful light.
Wei Hongsi found that the girl was quite open-minded and did not take the previous dangerous situation seriously. Moreover, she did not seem to have told her agent about what had happened.
"No need to be so polite, it's what I should do. Besides, you already thanked me before," he said sincerely.
It means that no matter who was in that situation, he would have done the same thing.
But Shen Qing interpreted it differently. Her expression turned serious: "Thank you for your support, I will work even harder."
Wei Hongsi felt that "support" would be a more accurate translation, and smiled and nodded, saying, "Keep it up!"
Shen Qing nodded vigorously and handed the pack of tissues to the staff member behind her. After putting it in his bag, the staff member took the used tissues from Wei Hongsi and threw them into the trash can.
A series of hurried footsteps came from the direction of the stairs, presumably Chen Haoyu leading a group of people who had reviewed Plan B down. Sure enough, Ji Cheng arrived a short while later.
"Teacher Shen Qing, just now..." Ji Cheng said as he walked, but Shen Qing and Wei Hongsi waved to him at the same time, as if they were in tacit agreement.
Although he didn't know what was going on, he swallowed the words he was about to say and changed his words to, "The preparations are already made above."
"Okay, let's go." Shen Qing nodded and walked ahead, glancing back at Wei Hongsi as she passed him.
Ji Cheng lagged behind, walking alongside Wei Hongsi, and asked in a low voice, "What's going on?"
Wei Hongsi also whispered, "She didn't tell her agent what happened just now."
"Oh~" Ji Cheng immediately understood, feeling that he had really found the right person to cooperate with this time.
Given the strength and brand influence of the Paradise Group, they could choose from many celebrity endorsers, and Shen Qing wasn't the most outstanding. However, since the signing of the contract, Shen Qing's performance has been the best among all the celebrities Ji Cheng had contacted. Especially regarding the remake of Gossip Girl, any other candidate would definitely not have had such a high level of cooperation.
Ji Cheng sighed inwardly and said, "Engineer Wei, I'll need your help later. There are two seats in the front row that are short, and I'm not comfortable letting unfamiliar people sit there. I'd like to ask you to fill in for them."
"Okay," Wei Hongsi agreed.
It's really hard to refuse someone who's put it that way. However, his early warning abilities could come in handy in case of emergencies.
The two arrived at the observation deck, and Wei Hongsi sat down in the seat that Ji Cheng had reserved for him.
The audience seating was arranged in three sections: left, center, and right. Wei Hongsi sat in the far left of the central section of the first row, adjacent to the aisle on the left.
For true fans, this is undoubtedly a great spot. But for him, it becomes a burden.
It's like a student who originally planned to sit in the back row of class but ended up sitting in front of the teacher because they couldn't get a seat. They have to put away their thoughts of sleeping or playing on their phone. If they don't want to spend the whole class daydreaming and bored, they have to find something to do, such as listening attentively to the teacher or researching some content related to the lecture.
Wei Hongsi wanted to listen attentively to the lesson, but unfortunately, he couldn't understand it. No matter how beautiful Teacher Shen's singing voice was or how well she played the piano, it sounded like a jumble of unrecognizable gibberish to him; he couldn't distinguish the pitch or perceive the melody.
Fortunately, Ms. Shen can dance while singing some songs. When she performed the dance steps she learned from Peng Jun, the audience gasped in amazement.
This should be her first time performing this dance publicly. She looks more skilled and natural than when she was on the set of GG, and the choreography has been expanded and extended, giving people a natural, casual, and energetic feeling, which is very pleasing to the eye.
Between each performance, Shen Qing would chat about various topics and interact with fans, which was quite interesting to listen to.
To Wei Hongsi's surprise, after Shen Qing finished singing another song, she chose him as the person she wanted to interact with. Therefore, he was quite worried when he stood up to take the microphone.
He wasn't stage-frightened; he'd spoken in lecture halls with thousands of people before, and today's was just a small-scale event. His worry wasn't about himself, but rather that Shen Qing might embarrass herself.
He had heard all of Shen Qing's questions and interactions with her fans, which were nothing more than "How did you find out about me?", "What is your favorite song of mine?", "What style do you hope my next album will be?", and so on.
If you were to answer these questions truthfully, the answers would be something like, "I heard from Ji Cheng that you're filming GG for them," "I don't know, I've never heard of it," or "Anything is fine, whatever makes you happy."
Wei Hongsi was well aware of the occasion. If he told the truth, it would be no different from ruining the event, and even Ji Cheng would probably lose face.
So he quickly made up his mind: to plagiarize the answers from those fans.
There's basically no risk in doing this. After all, Shen Qing hasn't been in the industry for very long. It's perfectly normal for fellow fans to know her through the same means and have similar tastes in music!
Wei Hongsi's plan was quite good, but things took an unexpected turn once again.
Shen Qing first asked two questions: "Where are you from? What do you do for a living?" This was essentially asking Wei Hongsi to introduce himself without involving any sensitive information.
Then he asked, "Did you like the song I just sang?"
