36-6 Cloud Dwelling
36-6 Cloud Dwelling
Mo Bei led Dongfang Yun through the circular grass gate. The surrounding wall was made of neatly trimmed shrubs, and inside was a small pond surrounded by stones. Once inside, they discovered a hole in the tree in the center—clearly another treehouse. It was obvious that Dongfang Yun truly loved treehouses.
Mo Bei picked a blade of grass from the wall, popped it into her mouth, and found it quite delicious. She then asked Dongfang Yun, "Wow, does your place always have so much good food? That's amazing!" Dongfang Yun nodded, and Mo Bei's eyes lit up. "So, does that mean all of these things are like grass—you can eat them and they'll just grow back in a flash?" Dongfang Yun shook her head, the bell hanging from her ear jingling. "No." Mo Bei felt like she'd gotten herself into trouble, since the grass she'd just eaten couldn't grow back, and it was someone else's wall. "What if I accidentally ate some?" Dongfang Yun replied, "Don't worry, someone will fix it." Mo Bei asked, "Who will fix it?" Dongfang Yun acted mysteriously. "You'll find out as the main storyline progresses, hehe." Mo Bei muttered, "Every time I ask about something crucial, they say it's based on the main storyline, or I get a warning. How disgusting is this author? They want you to know, but they don't want you to know." Dongfang Yun nodded. "They're really awful."
Mo Bei entered the treehouse. The treehouse had two levels; the upper level was the bed, and the lower level was the normal living area. It still had a bunk bed layout, with a small round table and a plant on the lower level. The layout was almost identical to that inside Mo Yun's ship, except for the addition of a wardrobe. After Mo Bei finished showing the house, Dongfang Yun led him out. She then immediately climbed up the tree, sat on a branch, and swayed her tail back and forth. Mo Bei was stunned, never having seen anything so fast: "Eh? What kind of spiritual skill is this?" Dongfang Yun, with a leaf in his mouth, swallowed it in one gulp: "This is something I practiced." Mo Bei was a little incredulous: "You mean you practiced it?" Dongfang Yun nodded: "Yes, did you see those cat paw prints next to the tree? Let's start with these." Mo Bei saw them, and Dongfang Yun leaped up, landing lightly on the ground, and took Mo Bei's hand, placing it against the print: "Grab it." Mo Bei did as he was told, his palm gripping the cat paw print tightly. "Climb," Dongfang Yun said, and Mo Bei began to climb the tree. Dongfang Yun swiftly climbed the tree again. Mo Bei shouted, "Whoosh!" but didn't reach the trunk directly. "What's going on? It's not working. Try this." Dongfang Yun tilted his head and smiled, "If it worked, you'd be amazing." He turned and walked into the canopy of branches. Mo Bei sped up, climbing on all fours, and surprisingly reached a thick branch within a minute. He boasted, "I'm really awesome!" Then he hurriedly ran inside.
Inside was a hemispherical building with what looked like a map on its arc. Seeing Dongfang Yun lie down, Mo Bei followed suit. Dongfang Yun pointed to the map: "This is the 27 star regions of the entire universe." The map zoomed in, and Mo Bei began to examine it closely. Suddenly, he noticed a strange star region, separated from the other 26 star regions by a particularly large distance: "Yun'er, look at this one called the Mysterious Region. Why is there such a large distance between us?" Dongfang Yun replied, "It's separated by the Barrier of Life. After all, the name itself implies mystery; it must be hated by the Barrier Dragon." Mo Bei nodded in agreement, showing interest. He then clicked on the Mysterious Region, and its map appeared before him. The Mysterious Region displayed two areas: the Drumming Zone and the Surging Zone. However, entering the star region didn't immediately lead to these two areas; there was also something called the Mysterious Zone. Mo Bei opened the Pengpai District, and its map appeared before her eyes. Finding it somewhat amusing, she started switching between the Mysterious Domain and the Pengpai District, only focusing on the map when she got tired of it.
The Surge Zone comprises three sub-zones: the Palace of Miracles, the Pale Garden, and the Eternal Forest. Upon closer inspection, all the buildings within these sub-zones correspond to their names. The Palace of Miracles is a grand palace high in the clouds, below which stands the Pale Garden with its towering tower, and the Eternal Forest surrounds it, forming a wall that separates the Surge Zone from the Rising Zone. The Rising Zone, on the other hand, contains the Gloomy Gray Clouds, the Deep Nest, and the Forgotten Border. The Gloomy Gray Clouds cover the Deep Nest, which is a massive, spiraling cavern extending downwards; its depth and interior are unknown due to a lack of publicly available data.
Mo Bei asked, "Yun'er, why wasn't this made public?" Dongfang Yun shook her head, "I don't know either. The Mysterious Domain has never cooperated, especially since the Black Star Five Sins era. We can't get in either, so we don't know what's going on." Mo Bei declared confidently, "Don't worry, I'll provide you with information later!" Dongfang Yun smiled. As the little princess of the Tianyin Empire, she knew how difficult this was, but she didn't want to discourage Mo Bei.
Mo Bei stared at the map, searching for places that interested him, when suddenly he spotted a place that looked somewhat familiar.
