Chapter 790 Panlong Continent (10)
Chapter 790 Panlong Continent (10)
"No, really no!" Yan Xin's tone revealed a sense of guilt and embarrassment.
"If you say no, then no. My place is small, so I won't invite you in. See you another day." Wangyou slammed the courtyard gate shut.
Yan Xin was locked out of the room. He touched his nose. He had stolen someone else's formula and gotten caught red-handed. How embarrassing!
However, someone capable of such a thing couldn't have a high level of morality, and Yan Xin soon left.
Wangyou didn't care. She didn't hide anything from anyone when she was refining it. As for why they couldn't refine it, that was their problem.
Besides, there are limitations on this continent. In the short term, no one but her can really refine the Marrow Cleansing Pill. She let them copy the recipe, but whether they can copy it correctly is their problem.
Wangyou returned to her room and decided to make some more small figurines, as a way to leave herself some memories.
Just as Wangyou was diligently directing the robot to build the kiln in the yard, there was another knock on the door.
"My little courtyard seems to be quite popular today!" Wangyou muttered as she went to open the door.
To my surprise, it was Fu Shen. "What are you doing here? Is there something you need?"
Wangyou was curious; she probably hadn't exchanged more than a few words with Fu Shen.
"We're going on a mission to the Dark Forest in a few days. Are you interested?" Fu Shen said at the door since Wang You wasn't inviting him in.
"The Dark Forest, isn't it said that those who go in there are almost certain to die?" Although Wangyou really wanted to go, she had a feeling that she was being tricked.
"We're not going into the Dark Forest, but rather in the vicinity of it. Your alchemy skills are excellent; you can help us," Fu Shen explained.
"Sure." Wangyou nodded in agreement. In any case, no matter what they were plotting, she had achieved her first goal. As for whether their plot would succeed, that depended on whether she was willing to cooperate.
"I'll come pick you up in a week," Fu Shen said before leaving.
Forget your worries, close the door, put these things behind you, and go about your business.
When I get tired, I play with her spirit form for a while, or refine some pills; I can always use them eventually.
However, Wangyou didn't forget her main task. During these few days, she searched for information about the Dark Forest. There was very little information about those three places online, which was simply summarized as a place of certain death.
Therefore, Wangyou used some extraordinary means to search for a large amount of information from the main brain and erased all traces of her visit, just to prevent any potential problems.
Seven days later, Fu Shen arrived.
Upon arriving at the camp entrance, Wangyou saw a group of well-equipped soldiers with plenty of energy. Wangyou estimated that the weakest among them was at least S-rank, indicating that this mission would be quite interesting.
After looking around, Wangyou saw Yan Xin, but apart from her, there was no other support player.
"Aren't you bringing any other support? These people seem to have high mental strength levels. Aren't you afraid of their mental bodies going berserk?" Wangyou said, giving Fu Shen a meaningful look.
“The Dark Forest is generally unbearable for support characters, and pollutants love to be near support characters, but you’re different.” Fu Shen’s explanation was somewhat strange.
Feeling the subtle, scrutinizing gazes around her, Wangyou smiled slightly at Fu Shen, then smiled at Yan Xin in the crowd.
"Then let's go, Major General Fu Shen. I hope you can bear the consequences." After saying that, Wangyou climbed into the spaceship.
After the spaceship had been traveling for seven days, it finally arrived near the Dark Forest. No one dared to go any further.
Standing at the entrance of the spaceship, Wangyou saw the area covered in thick black fog in the distance. However, the fog was very organized and did not spread outwards; it simply enveloped the area tightly.
As for other places, there was not a trace of human habitation, only plants covered in pollutants.
"How much have you researched and developed in the laboratory you established near this Dark Forest?" Wangyou asked casually as she disembarked from the spaceship.
As soon as Wangyou said this, everyone in the group looked at her and subtly surrounded her.
Yan Xin's gaze showed some struggle, but ultimately returned to indifference.
"Since you already know, then stop struggling!" Fu Shen said expressionlessly.
"I wasn't planning on struggling anyway." Wangyou smiled enigmatically, then walked towards the laboratory with a clear purpose.
"How did you know?"
"It's none of my business how I know, but I really hate ingrates. You two remember to wash your necks later, otherwise they'll be too dirty!" Wangyou's lips curled into a mocking smile.
"For the sake of all humanity, we have no choice but to do this!" Fu Shen's voice fluctuated slightly, but not by much.
"That's why you volunteered to become their experimental subject. You're really great." Wangyou casually picked a weed from the roadside and played with it.
Fu Shen's gaze suddenly became extremely terrifying, as if he wanted to devour Wang You.
"What, are you thinking about those bad memories? This is the real you. It must be so tiring to pretend all the time!" Wangyou continued to provoke.
"You will suffer more than I have!" After a long while, Fu Shen suddenly laughed, but his eyes were icy cold.
"Is this the legendary situation where you tear someone else's umbrella just because you got caught in the rain? You even tricked your good brother who helped you in your time of need into coming here for this!" Wangyou said with a grin.
Yan Xin's eyes widened suddenly. He never expected that he treated Fu Shen as a brother, while Fu Shen treated him as a tool.
"He would be willing to sacrifice himself for the liberation of all mankind," Fu Shen said with a cold smile.
"This is the real you! You look so much better than before!"
"Fu Shen, is what she said true?!" Yan Xin was immediately restrained by the people next to him as soon as he moved, but he still angrily questioned them.
Does it really matter if it's true or false?
"Of course it's true! He was one of the first successful experimental subjects!" Wangyou's voice was tinged with schadenfreude.
How do you know so much?
"Well, how should I put it? I accidentally hacked into the mainframe and then accidentally saw a lot of things."
"So it seems you do know quite a lot, but you'll never have a chance!"
"Then we'll wait and see!"
At this point, no one said another word.
The group arrived at the laboratory entrance. The electronic door, which gleamed with a metallic sheen in the sunlight, gave them an inexplicable chill.
After passing through various electronic gates, Wangyou was taken to a laboratory. There were quite a few people in the laboratory, and it was clear that they were very interested in her.
"Are all the people from your lab here?"
"Quick, draw her blood! I have a feeling I'm going to make a big discovery! A perfect, perfectly pure body!" shouted a gray-haired madman.
