Chapter 108 The Encirclement and Suppression Failed
Chapter 108 The Encirclement and Suppression Failed
The two cars behind suddenly accelerated and blocked Gin's car.
Vodka slammed on the brakes, and Gin, with a smile on his face, loaded his pistol, looking eager to try it out. Even Byakuya Xiu smiled as he loaded his pistol.
Seeing everyone's fighting spirit, Vodka gritted his teeth and loaded his pistol with bullets.
In that short time, their car was surrounded, and through the window, they could see more than a dozen FBI agents pointing guns at them.
“Gin, you have nowhere to run!” shouted the blonde, bespectacled female agent in charge, named Judy Sterling.
The Porsche's door opened slowly, and the FBI agents present gripped their guns tightly in tension.
The first to emerge from the car were the confident Gin and Vodka.
Judy squinted and nervously glanced at the rear window of the Porsche. Finding no movement there, she couldn't help but feel puzzled—James had said that Gin and the others were with a minor. Had they split up? If so, what should they do? After all, their goal was to take that boy away as quickly as possible.
"Are you looking for me, beautiful lady?"
A voice came – the back door of the car had already been opened a crack, and the young man in black slowly got out of the car and stood in front of everyone.
The FBI agents at the scene were all surprised and puzzled, and even Judy was stunned.
The boy was dressed in all black, with only his shirt underneath and bandages wrapped around his neck and the back of his hands showing. He wore a hat and a mask, revealing only a pair of amber eyes, but judging from his build, he didn't even look like a high school student.
"What are you all doing standing around like this? Can't we talk on a wider road? What if we accidentally damage your cars? Car maintenance costs a lot of money, doesn't it?" Bai Yexiu laughed, raised his hands in surrender, and walked to the middle of the road, ignoring the dozen or so gun barrels surrounding him. Gin and Vodka had no choice but to follow Bai Yexiu.
Gin glanced furtively at Bai Yexiu, still confused about what Jun Du was up to...
Gin's eyes widened slightly—Kundo had his head down, and because he was wearing a hat, others couldn't see his eyes, but from the side, Gin could clearly see a cold glint in Kundo's eyes.
After all, pointing a gun at Cointreau is like dancing on Cointreau's landmines.
Judy looked at the boy before her, her brows furrowing deeply. James had said the boy seemed difficult to deal with, and just now, he certainly appeared unfathomable. She wondered what this boy was really up to; did he truly just want to negotiate with them?
In the blink of an eye, Judy's eyes were momentarily blinded by a strange reflection on Bai Yexiu's right hand. In that instant, the boy vanished from her sight, leaving only an afterimage.
Immediately afterwards, the three FBI agents to Judy's left fell down in unison. Bai Yeshu stood behind the three fallen agents, casually wiping a gleaming scalpel with a handkerchief.
It was an incredibly fast movement technique.
Before Judy could react, Gin and Vodka quickly opened fire, killing several agents and breaking through the encirclement.
It all happened so fast that Judy barely dodged the bullets aimed at her, a few beads of cold sweat trickling down her forehead.
The boy was clearly raising his hands in a gesture of surrender, but there was nothing in his hands. Such a gesture could not possibly conceal a weapon. How did the boy manage to do it?
Distracted, several agents were shot and fell. Seeing the situation turn around, Judy turned to retreat, but before she could even take a step, her vision was filled with the mysterious white powder that rose up.
Although she quickly covered her mouth and nose, she still inhaled some. The powder made Judy cough from the bitterness, and within seconds she collapsed limply to the ground.
Judy struggled to open her drooping eyelids, but the sounds she heard and the things she saw became increasingly blurry. Even so, Judy still recalled the scene of her three subordinates being killed by that boy with astonishing speed.
That boy could hide the knife in his hand without anyone noticing, even while making a gesture of surrender. He was a truly terrifying child…
Judy eventually succumbed to her heavy eyelids and fell into a coma.
The remaining FBI agents were all handed over to Gin and Vodka, while Bai Yexiu slowly approached Judy, squatted down, and stuck something in the fold next to Judy's waist pocket.
The last person fell, and the road returned to calm. Gin holstered his gun and looked at Byakuya Xiu not far away: "What's so interesting about a corpse?"
Bai Yexiu stood up and said, "Take a look at your phone."
Gin opened his phone in confusion and found that Bai Yexiu had sent him an email sometime during the night. The email contained a website address. Gin looked suspiciously at Jodie on the ground: "You installed a transmitter on that woman?"
"An eye for an eye, and besides, this woman won't remember our faces when she wakes up. Maybe she can even lead us back to Rye." Bai Yexiu winked at Gin and got into the car, humming a tune.
……
"Judy, do you really not remember that child's face?" James asked again, his hands on Judy's shoulders, his voice filled with anxiety.
Judy shook her head and frowned. "I can't remember his face at all, and I don't even remember how I passed out yesterday."
James sighed, leaving Judy alone in the room to rest, and then called Shuichi Akai from outside the room.
“Judy said she doesn’t remember how she passed out last night, and she can’t remember the boy’s face either. I feel there are a lot of doubts. Why was Judy the only one left alive while everyone else died?”
“Judy must have been drugged last night to forget the boy’s face. We should give her some time to recall. Judy must have confronted the boy at close range. We can’t give up on this information.”
"If that's the case, it seems you don't even recognize the boy's face," James said.
"He was covered up so tightly that I couldn't even see the color of his eyes, let alone understand him."
……
Meanwhile, on the other side...
Just like last night, tonight is also a full moon. Bai Yexiu is sitting in Gin's car, enthusiastically introducing the scalpel in his hand to Gin.
"Guess how I managed to hide this knife with that gesture yesterday? Praise me and I'll tell you!" Bai Yexiu rocked Gin's chair like a child.
"Tsk," Gin finally couldn't stand Bai Yexiu's harassment after enduring nearly half a minute of "rocking chair service," and said through gritted teeth, "Hmm, very impressive."
"This is so rare! It's actually Koto-chan praising you! Well then, I'll reluctantly tell you~"
