Chapter 24 Brothers Hug Each Other
Chapter 24 Brothers Hug Each Other
In the early morning, golden sunlight, like fine threads, filtered through the narrow gap in the curtains, quietly falling on Luo Li's desk and casting a warm and soft halo. Outside the window, birds sang merrily in the branches, and a gentle breeze rustled the leaves, as if playing a natural symphony for the new day.
Luo Li slowly awoke from her sleep, her heart filled with anticipation and nervousness. She rose quietly, as if handling a priceless treasure, and picked up the sheet music she had meticulously written the night before, carefully examining every note and every line of lyrics. Her fingers gently brushed across the paper, feeling its slightly rough texture, as if engaging in a silent dialogue with her own masterpiece.
After confirming that everything was correct, she tapped her finger lightly, and the sheet music was sent out.
Luo Li slowly sat down in the chair, her eyes fixed on the screen. Her hands were clasped tightly together, her nails digging slightly into her palms, but she was completely unaware of it. Her thoughts drifted away like willow catkins, imagining Professor Yan's expression and reaction when he saw the sheet music.
Meanwhile, in another studio, Professor Yan, as usual, walked slowly with steady steps. He wore a neat shirt and dark trousers, appearing refined and dignified. His hair was neatly combed, and a faint smile graced his face, giving him an impression of both friendliness and authority.
Upon entering the studio, Professor Yan gently opened the window, letting in a rush of fresh air. A gentle breeze caressed his face, bringing a touch of coolness and comfort. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and savored the breath of nature. Then, he went to the table and brewed a steaming cup of strong tea. The tea leaves unfurled and tumbled in the hot water, releasing a rich aroma. The wisps of fragrance filled the air, as if draping the entire studio in a veil of mystery.
Professor Yan rubbed his hands together, preparing to begin his new day's work. His eyes were filled with anticipation and focus, like a warrior about to embark on a journey. Just as he turned on his computer, a message notification immediately caught his eye. When he saw that the sender was Luo Li, a surge of curiosity welled up within him.
Professor Yan gently opened the file, his gaze instantly drawn to the complete musical score. His eyes widened slightly, surprise and admiration evident in them. His fingers tapped lightly on the table, the rhythm echoing the melody he imagined. He seemed to be drawn by an invisible force, immersed in this beautiful world of music.
Professor Yan narrowed his eyes slightly, carefully savoring every word of the lyrics.
Hug me, brother
Lyrics by: Liuli Yue
Composer: Liuli Yue
"Brother, you've lost weight and look tired."
The dust from the journey couldn't cover it up
The face of time.
Brother, you've changed. You've become silent.
Let's talk about what's on our minds.
......"
He seemed to see the image of a brother who had weathered many storms, his face weary, his eyes revealing the marks of time. A strange sense of melancholy welled up in Professor Yan's heart. He thought of his former friends, who too had gradually grown old in the long river of time, their faces bearing the marks of years.
His fingers tapped lightly on the table, the rhythm echoing the melody he imagined. He seemed to hear his brother's heart, the hardships and setbacks he had endured through the years. Professor Yan sighed softly, reflecting on the passage of time.
These lyrics plunged him into deep thought. He thought of his friends from his youth, so lively and cheerful, full of energy and vitality. Now, they had all become taciturn, no longer as talkative as they used to be. Professor Yan felt a pang of melancholy; he didn't know if time had changed them, or if the pressures of life had robbed them of their former innocence and enthusiasm.
He recalled his dreams and aspirations from his youth, and the friends he had fought alongside. Their youth was like a flower blooming in their hearts, enduring wind and rain yet still radiating brilliant light. Professor Yan's eyes were filled with nostalgia and emotion; he seemed to see his younger self, that passionate and energetic version of himself.
A faint smile appeared on Professor Yan's lips. He understood this change and the inevitable hardships of growing up. He recalled how he too had once been a young man full of ideals and ambitions, striving for his dreams. Now, he too had to face the pressures of reality and let go of those dreams and pursuits. A wave of emotion washed over Professor Yan; he didn't know if it was he who had changed, or the world that had changed.
A hint of melancholy flashed in Professor Yan's eyes, as if he could see himself and his former companions gradually losing their edge under the磨砺 (mó lì, tempering/refining) of time. He recalled his own former sharpness and vigor, his courage to challenge authority and pursue the truth. Now, however, they had all been worn down by the hardships of life, becoming worldly and cynical, no longer as brave and fearless as they were in their youth. A sense of loss welled up in Professor Yan's heart; he didn't know if he had lost something, or if the world had lost something.
"Brother, give me a hug. If you have tears, then cry."
All those years of buried deep have flowed away.
Bitterness and hardship.
Professor Yan's eyes welled up slightly, moved by the deep emotion in the lyrics. He thought of his former friends, who must have endured much hardship and bitterness in their lives. A wave of sadness washed over him; he longed for the chance to hug them, to let them cry on his shoulder, and to release the pressure and pain in their hearts.
Professor Yan was completely immersed in this beautiful musical world. He leaned forward slightly, his fingers gently gliding across the sheet music, as if touching each vibrant note. He silently admired Luo Li's talent: "This young girl truly possesses extraordinary talent." He seemed to see Luo Li's earnestness and dedication in composing this piece, her love and pursuit of music. Professor Yan felt a surge of satisfaction; he felt he had seen the future and hope of music.
Suddenly, Professor Yan's lips curled into a slight smile. He seemed to see the boundless potential of this musical score. His eyes gleamed with excitement, as if he could already envision the song shining brightly on stage. He imagined it being sung by countless people, touching the hearts of every listener. A surge of emotion welled up within Professor Yan; he felt a responsibility to promote this wonderful song, to let more people hear it and experience its charm.
Professor Yan stood up, walked to the window, and gazed at the blue sky and white clouds outside, his heart filled with emotion. He felt as if he were standing at a new starting point, seeing a future full of hope and challenges. He decided to nurture Luo Li well, allowing her musical talent to flourish. He believed that in the near future, Luo Li would definitely become an outstanding musician, bringing more beauty and inspiration to the world.
