Chapter 225 The Galactic "Villain"

Chapter 225 The Galactic "Villain"

Deep within the Star Nest City, S-99 Abyss Shaft.

Russell leaned against the shattered wall, blood seeping from the cracks in his power armor. His "Fire Kirin" was exhausted, and the spirit bone coating of his "Blood Drinker" was dull and lifeless. Before him, the assassin sent by the Ancestral Dragon—a terrifying creation that combined the technology of the Zerg Hive and Chaos—was slowly approaching.

This monster possessed the body of a Hive Tyrant, heavy armor covered in chaotic runes, warp energy coiled around the claws of a chaotic demon, weapons of the Mechanicus, and a plasma incinerator on its right arm. "The Ancestral Dragon greets you," the monster's voice was like the scraping of metal, "He says you're annoying."

Russell barely dodged the first attack; the plasma beam grazed his shoulder, melting the wall into lava. He activated his final "Imperial Protection," but the golden light noticeably dimmed.

The "Fire Kirin's" laser beams left only scorch marks on the monster's armor, while the sparks from the "Blood Drinker's" slashes seemed like mockery.

Just as the monster's claws were about to pierce Russell's chest, a thunderous roar echoed through the passage: "For the Emperor!"

The second company commander's power gauntlet slammed into the monster's side, knocking it back several meters. His armor was covered in battle marks, and an eerie blue light seeped from a crack in his left shoulder.

“Sorry I’m late,” Aksu’s voice echoed strangely, “this bastard is more troublesome than I expected.”

The enraged monster roared and charged forward.

"Let me hold him off!" Aksu roared, then stepped forward and used his power gauntlets to draw fire.

While the two were fighting, Russell was waiting for an opportunity to launch a sneak attack. Finally, he seized the opportunity and rushed forward, his sharp Bloodthirster aimed directly at the monster's knee joint.

With a soft "sizzle," the monster's leg was severed.

The monster's enormous body crashed to the ground, roaring: This is impossible.

Russell sneered: "Die." Then, wielding the Blood Drinker, he beheaded him.

As the monster fell, the symbol of the Mechanicus was revealed beneath its armor. Aksu suddenly clutched his head, and the symbol of the Ancestral Dragon flashed in his pupils.

"Run!" the second company commander's voice was filled with anguish. "He's...controlling me..."

[System Warning: Subspace contamination detected. Immediate evacuation recommended.]

Russell helped Aksu rush out of the tunnel, the sound of a collapse echoing behind them. When they returned to safety, the second company commander was already unconscious.

“By the Emperor…” Russell stared at the data on his tactical goggles. “What on earth is going on?”

After Russell and Aksu killed the powerful enemy, the brutal ones arrived here.

“That damned Ancestral Dragon is too cunning. Are you alright, Russell?” Commissar Arek asked.

Russell shook his head and said: It's nothing.

"How did Company Commander Aksu show up?" Leos asked in surprise.

“This is not the time to talk. We need to leave here. You all support the company commander,” Russell said.

…………

Vigilant Star, Crimson Fist Frontline Command.

Russell helped the unconscious Aksu into the medical pod, where Chief Think Tank Varo Digglis immediately went to examine him. The psionic scepter swept over the Second Company Commander, its runes flickering.

“Subspace contamination,” Varo’s voice held an unusual gravity, “but there is still hope.”

Commander Pedro looked at Russell, who was covered in wounds: "You've done enough. Rest, let others take over."

Russell wiped the blood from his face: "Chapter Commander, the Ancestral Dragon's target is the entire Vigilant Planet. I must continue the investigation."

“You almost died!” Pedro slammed his fist against the wall. “I can’t afford to lose any more soldiers.”

Russell didn't say much, but instead pulled up the data from his tactical goggles and said, "We've obtained some crucial clues: the coordinates of Zulong's cloning factory, the energy node distribution map, and the abnormal energy on Aksu. But that's not all. I also want revenge for our fallen brothers. Of course, there's a much larger conspiracy waiting for us, and I must stop it. And another thing is, I need to uncover the truth. Trust me," Russell's voice was firm, "I know Zulong best."

Pedro remained silent for a long time before finally nodding: "Take the new equipment and support. If we encounter danger again, retreat immediately."

This time, the technical sergeant provided Russell and his team with new equipment: the Holy Flame Projector, the Psionic Disruptor, the Gene Purification Bomb, and the Anti-Warspace Grenade.

Of course, there are also some new reinforcements: twenty elite Kashejin soldiers, one purifying dreadnought mech, and three reconnaissance drones used by Leos.

As the team ventured deeper into the nest city, an eerie atmosphere filled the air. Leos's data panel suddenly flashed: "Abnormal energy fluctuations detected... Wait, this can't be!"

Russell and his team found an abandoned laboratory where they discovered a shocking truth.

"What is this?" Leos exclaimed.

Russell glanced at the projection screen and frowned, saying: "This is the experimental record, the true plan of the Ancestral Dragon, the fusion of the Hive and Chaos, and the involvement of the Armenus family."

As the squad retreated with the evidence, they were ambushed by the clan's guards. Just then, the warband leader's voice came through the communicator: "Retreat immediately! A new threat has emerged..."

…………

The flagship of the Bloodskull, the "Skull Throne," orbits the warning star.

Voda Bloodrocket's brass boots crushed the head of a kneeling, begging slave, splattering brains onto the deck adorned with skull reliefs. His six-meter-tall demonic form leaned forward slightly, his spiked arm armor bracing against the tactical platform, and the six floating skull servo skulls immediately began to tremble.

"Abaddon, that coward hiding on the Iron Throne!" His roar made the warp engines on the bridge tremble, and the sulfurous breath churning in his throat drew dark red wisps of smoke into the air. "Let the Black Legion lick Tzeentch's asshole! True glory is forged in blood!"

As the first World Eater raider crashed into the atmosphere of the watchtower, the hive's air raid sirens sounded like the wailing of a dying man. Voda stood before the open drop pod, letting the gale whip the thirty-six Space Marine skulls skewering his spine. Below, the burning city disintegrated into countless slaughterhouses in his crimson compound eyes—each block a sacrifice to the Blood God.

"Skull Offering, Skull Seat!" His battle cry materialized into a sonic wave. Before the drop pod even landed, three companies of World Eaters had already torn open the hatches and leaped out. These frenzied warriors used chainsaw axes to cleave through the clouds and began dismembering the anti-aircraft gun crews that had been blown away by the shockwave in freefall.

Within fifteen minutes, the northern industrial zone was transformed into a hellish scene. The adamantite forging furnace was overturned, and molten metal, carrying screaming workers, flowed into a river of blood. The transport pipes no longer spewed steam, but rather pieces of human flesh that had been steamed. Woda personally tore a Sentinel mech in half and used the pilot's scorching gun to burn half a company of the garrison.

As the Khorne daemon crawled out of the river of blood, a rust-colored rain began to fall from the sky. A World Eater recruit, clutching the still-convulsing heart of a Defender, laughed maniacally, only to have his skull crushed by Voda the next second: "Useless trash! If you're going to offer something, offer a powerful soul!"

Chapter Commander Pedro slammed his fist into the holographic projection, distorting Calgar's communication image: "Did you see those Khorne runes? Voda is turning the entire continent into a skull altar!"

“I need time to rebuild the defenses…” Pedro’s words were interrupted by Russell, who suddenly burst in. Captain Kashezin’s armor was covered in green slime and blue arcs of electricity—he had clearly just crawled out of the Ancestral Dragon’s trap.

“It’s no coincidence,” Russell tossed a bug carapace engraved with an eight-pointed star onto the table. “Three kilometers below the Voda landing site lies the Ancestral Dragon’s largest gene factory.”

Twelve hours later, Russell crouched in the ruins at the edge of the Bloodskull-occupied territory. His "Fire Kirin" was wrapped in a shroud that suppressed psionic energy, while Leos was applying a camouflage coating mixed with demonic blood to the drone.

“Temperature checks,” Commissar Arek stared at the data panel, “the blood temperature of those World Eaters is higher than the erupting magma.”

The Brutality suddenly twitched its nostrils: "The smell of rust mixed with... rotting flesh?" Before it could finish speaking, the Blood Sacrifice Altar three hundred meters away suddenly erupted with a towering red light. The six World Eaters that were drawing runes instantly vaporized, and what emerged from them was not a Khorne Demon, but a Hive Tyrant with four bone wings.

"The blood sacrifice has begun!" Russell's pupils contracted sharply—Khorne runes and insect nest patterns flashed simultaneously on the monster's carapace.

Voda's maniacal laughter shattered glass within a kilometer radius. His massive axe, "Blood Oath," was feeding on the mutated blood of a creature fused with the genes of both the Zerg hive and humans: "See that, Abaddon! This is the real—"

His declaration came to an abrupt halt. The newly born fusion demon suddenly turned and bit off the head of the World Eater beside it, then lunged at Voda. The demon prince's furious roar mingled with the hive's shrieks, creating a symphony of destruction, and the shockwave completely leveled the ruins where Russell and the others were hiding.

As the smoke and dust cleared, at the bottom of the hundred-meter-deep sinkhole, Woda, standing atop the demon's remains, roared to the heavens: "Ancestral Dragon! I will nail every single one of your tentacles to the brass throne!"
