Chapter 267 Slapping the Arrogant One in the Face 14
Chapter 267 Slapping the Arrogant One in the Face 14
When the aircraft came to a stop on the mountainside, Pei Che was not yet ready to release Leng Yuexing.
Leng Yuexing struggled to break free from Pei Che, glaring at him with her shimmering eyes. "The most important thing now is to find the Heavenly Snow Lotus!" Leng Yuexing's voice was hoarse and seductive.
Pei Che stared intently at Leng Yuexing, feeling extremely thirsty; only Leng Yuexing could save him.
He would never have let go of Leng Yuexing if the time and place hadn't been inconvenient.
Stared at by Pei Che with an extremely deep gaze, Leng Yuexing curled her lips into a sly smile, suddenly wrapped her arms around Pei Che's neck, and kissed him heavily with a "pop".
He then suddenly stepped back and chuckled, "I'll be waiting for you downstairs."
Leng Yuexing left very quickly. Pei Che stood there watching her back, shaking his head and smiling indulgently.
After drinking a large glass of ice water on the table and calming down for a while, suppressing the rising desire in his body, Pei Che straightened his clothes and walked outside.
As they passed by the white ball of fur, Pei Che picked it up and held it in front of him. "You stay on the aircraft. If anyone enters the aircraft, contact me using the communicator, understand?"
The little white dumpling nodded firmly, indicating that it understood.
Pei Che then released it and turned to walk outside.
It was already dark when Leng Yuexing turned on the spotlights she had prepared and pulled Pei Che toward the mountaintop.
The mountain is mostly covered with rocks, and there is hardly any vegetation.
The two climbed to the top of the mountain together but still didn't see the Tian Shan Snow Lotus. Seeing that Leng Yuexing was a little disappointed, Pei Che held Leng Yuexing's hand and said, "Don't worry, let's keep looking."
Leng Yuexing nodded, preparing to look for other places, and then turned and walked down the other side of the mountain.
There seemed to be someone following behind them, and as the two walked down the mountain, they followed closely behind.
Leng Yuexing and Pei Che had noticed them long ago, but neither of them cared. Pei Che decided to deal with them when they went to find the Source Seed.
The path down the mountain was even more difficult to walk on than the path up the mountain. It was all loose rocks, and with every step you took, loose rocks would roll down the mountainside.
Pei Che held Leng Yuexing's hand tightly, afraid that he would fall and tumble down the mountain.
As Leng Yuexing walked, she carefully observed her surroundings, not wanting to miss any clues.
And so they tried several different routes, but still couldn't find the Tian Shan snow lotus the doctor had mentioned.
Just as Leng Yuexing's patience was running out, he suddenly noticed something was wrong with the stone hill next to him.
It didn't look like a naturally formed rocky hill; it looked more like someone had piled up stones one by one.
His intuition told him that there must be something beneath that rocky hill.
Leng Yuexing walked to the side of the stone hill, then squatted down and began to move the broken stones.
Although Pei Che didn't understand, he immediately squatted down and helped Leng Yuexing move the stones.
After all the large pieces of rubble on top were removed, a patch of snow-white appeared before their eyes.
"Snow Lotus of Tianshan!" Leng Yuexing exclaimed in surprise.
He felt there must be something beneath the rocky hill, never expecting it to be the Tian Shan snow lotus they were looking for.
Leng Yuexing smiled and reached out to pluck a few petals from the Tian Shan Snow Lotus, placing them in the medicine in Pei Che's hand.
The petals of the Tianshan snow lotus were infused into the medicinal liquid, which had been purple just moments before, but suddenly became transparent, like pure spring water.
Pei Che tilted his head back and drank the discolored potion. He closed his eyes and felt it. The faint pain that had been lingering in his heart disappeared, replaced by a warm current flowing through his body.
Seeing Pei Che open his eyes, Leng Yuexing asked anxiously, "How are you feeling?"
Pei Che nodded. "I can feel that the poison has been neutralized."
Upon hearing this, Leng Yuexing hugged Pei Che with joy, "That's wonderful! Your poison is finally cured, and you're no longer in mortal danger!"
Pei Che gently patted Leng Yuexing's back and said in a hoarse voice, "This is all thanks to you. Without you, I might not have been able to find the Tianshan Snow Lotus hidden here."
Leng Yuexing chuckled and nuzzled against Pei Che's chest, "As long as your poison is cured, that's all that matters!"
After saying this, Leng Yuexing left Pei Che's embrace and turned around to put the stone she had just taken down back in its original position.
"What are you doing?" Pei Che didn't know why Leng Yuexing was doing this.
"This Tianshan snow lotus must have been hidden away by someone on purpose. That person must be waiting for the Tianshan snow lotus to bloom."
"We've been fortunate enough to catch the blooming season and have managed to collect a few petals. The rest will be left to the person who protects this Tian Shan snow lotus."
After hearing this, Pei Che helped Leng Yuexing restore the stone hill to its original state.
Once the last stone was in place, Leng Yuexing stood up and clapped her hands. "Let's go, we'll go find the Source Seed now."
It was nearly dawn, and the two were exhausted after searching for Tianshan snow lotus all night.
Seeing that Leng Yuexing's eyes were barely open, yet she still tried to force herself to find the Source Seed, Pei Che picked her up and carried her horizontally. "It's not too late to find the Source Seed after you wake up. You should get some sleep first."
Leng Yuexing wanted to retort, but as soon as she opened her mouth, she let out a big yawn and couldn't help but close her eyes.
"Those people behind..." Leng Yuexing said, fighting off her drowsiness.
"Leave it to me," Pei Che said softly.
Hearing this, Leng Yuexing felt relieved and fell into a deep sleep.
Pei Che carried Leng Yuexing and walked steadily towards the aircraft. Leng Yuexing rested her head on his shoulder, breathing softly, and looked like she was sleeping soundly.
Pei Che walked cautiously the whole way, and Leng Yuexing did not wake up until they returned to the aircraft.
Pei Che gently placed Leng Yuexing on the bed, covered him with the blanket, and then turned and walked out.
After taking the antidote, his memories gradually returned. He rubbed his wrists, twisted his neck, and then strode away from the aircraft.
He had always felt that his body was somewhat sluggish, which he figured was because his memories hadn't returned and he didn't have complete control over his body.
Now that his memory has returned, he can finally stretch his muscles and bones.
Pei Che walked step by step toward the group of people who were hiding their heads and tails.
As he drew closer, the previously eerily quiet atmosphere was instantly shattered.
A series of resounding "bangs" echoed through the sky, interspersed with the sound of falling pebbles.
These sounds intertwined, like a thrilling battle symphony, echoing across the desolate yet towering mountain peaks.
Before long, the group of men in black who had been closely following Leng Yuexing and her companion fell to the ground one by one.
Pei Che wiped his hands clean with a wet wipe without expression, then turned and walked towards the aircraft, leaving behind only a few people lying motionless on the ground.
Pei Che was unaware that after he returned to the aircraft, another person emerged from behind the other rocky hill.
To avoid being discovered by Pei Che, he buried himself in the rubble, breathing only through a few small holes.
His eyes were filled with determination as he looked at the aircraft.
