Chapter 174 Slapping the Vampire's Face: The World's Top Man

Chapter 174 Slapping the Vampire's Face: The World's Top Man

Augustus sat on his throne, and the oppressive aura emanating from him made all the vampires present feel breathless.

"Get up, all of you," Augustus said casually, glancing down at the crowd.

"Do you know why I've summoned you all here?" Augustus whispered.

“Of course I know, it’s to celebrate the king’s awakening!” Devon shouted from the side.

Then, voices congratulating the king on his awakening echoed throughout the hall.

Augustus slightly curled the corners of his lips, turning the heavy ring on his finger. "Anything else?"

"Is the king going to reward us for our contributions?" one of the vampires asked excitedly.

Augustus did not answer; he raised his hand and pressed it down, and the hall suddenly fell silent.

"Miller Monk, Taylor Gard, step forward," Augustus said coldly, his voice neither loud nor soft, yet all the vampires present heard him clearly.

Miller and the head of the Taylor family, who had been standing in a corner, stepped forward cautiously.

They knelt on the ground, trembling with fear, and whispered, "Greetings, Your Majesty."

Augustus chuckled softly. "What other reasons do you think there are?"

After hesitating for a long time, Chief Miller tentatively asked, "Does the king intend to punish those who disobey your orders?"

Augustus clapped his hands gently. "Well said. Now tell me, who here didn't obey my orders?"

Cold sweat dripped down Miller's forehead. Augustus's oppressive aura felt like a giant, invisible hand pressing on his heart, making him vaguely believe that he was about to die in the next second.

He glanced at Chief Taylor kneeling beside him and found that he wasn't in much better shape.

Chief Miller naturally knew why Augustus had summoned them; it must be because Augustus already knew that they were the first family to disobey his orders.

However, Chief Miller will not openly admit to this; by not admitting it, there might still be a glimmer of hope!

Chief Miller gritted his teeth and pointed at Chief Taylor, who was kneeling on the ground beside him, saying, "Your Majesty, I know! It is the Taylor family that has disobeyed your orders!"

"Chief Taylor is bloodthirsty by nature. He won't drink anything but fresh human blood, and he won't be satisfied until he's drained all the blood from the human body!" Miller pointed at Chief Taylor with a twisted expression.

Upon hearing this, Chief Taylor glared at him with bloodshot eyes, and said in a trembling voice, "Your Majesty! It wasn't us, it was the Miller family who first disobeyed your orders! They are the bloodthirsty ones!"

They started hurling insults at each other in front of all the vampires, each story more gruesome than the last.

Augustus's face turned cold, and his blood-red eyes looked icy at the two people below the stage.

With a gentle grab, Chief Miller and Chief Taylor floated up uncontrollably.

They floated in the air, their legs constantly pushing downwards.

The two men clutched their necks and hearts, their faces contorted in pain and fear, veins bulging on their foreheads.

"Your Majesty, spare us..." Chief Miller said with difficulty.

Augustus said casually, "Spare you? You should have known this would happen when you disobeyed my orders."

As Augustus spoke, he gently clenched his fist, and the two of them turned into wisps of smoke right before everyone's eyes, disappearing without a trace.

Everyone who witnessed this scene was terrified.

“Shadow,” Augustus said in a deep voice.

"Your subordinate is here!" Shadow, the captain of the guard team dressed in black, knelt down and said.

"You can handle the rest," Augustus said in a low voice.

"Understood!" Shadow waved his hand, and several vampires dressed in black appeared in the hall.

In front of everyone, they kidnapped several of the vampires.

The remaining vampires didn't dare to utter a sound.

The Miller and Taylor families ceased to exist, and the remaining vampires looked at each other, sweating profusely with fear.

Augustus chuckled. "Alright, you're free to do as you please for the rest of the time."

After Augustus left, the vampires in the hall began to talk amongst themselves, fearing that the Queen would come after them again.

Wright was captured by several vampires who questioned him about what the king was going to do next.

Wright didn't want to answer, but seeing the unanimous anxious look on everyone's faces, he finally offered a hint.

“Nowadays, low-level vampires are rampant, many of them are Level E who have lost their minds, so Wang naturally has to clean house.”

Laidt left it at that, but the others understood, and they knew they had to try their best to perform well in front of the king.

Before Augustus even reached the room, he saw Leng Yuexing standing in the corridor waiting for him.

Leng Yuexing leaned lazily against the wall, the lamplight casting a soft glow on his profile.

"Let's go, it's time to discuss our cooperation," Leng Yuexing said lazily.

"No rush," Augustus said in a low voice.

"It's already late at night, we can talk again tomorrow."

Augustus could hear the sound of blood flowing through Leng Yuexing's body, which sounded like heavenly music to him.

He couldn't wait any longer and took a few steps to Leng Yuexing's side, hugged Leng Yuexing's waist, and pierced his skin with his sharp teeth.

A muffled groan escaped Leng Yuexing's lips as he gasped for breath, tilting his head back to endure the pain, his hands gripping Augustus's arm tightly.

Warm blood flowed out, and Augustus frantically sucked on it twice before licking the wound on his neck with his saliva to heal it.

He leaned on Leng Yuexing's shoulder, panting as he whispered in her ear, "Yuexing, I can't hold back any longer. Maybe one day I'll go so far as to drain all the blood from your body."

"I long for you, even though I already have you, it's still not enough, not enough, never enough!"

Augustus suddenly raised his head, grabbed Leng Yuexing's chin, and said, "Tell me, what will it take to satisfy me?"

Tormented by desire, Augustus couldn't help but press Leng Yuexing against the wall.

Leng Yuexing smiled and was about to reply when Augustus suddenly whispered, "I understand."

His deep eyes were fixed on Leng Yuexing, his dark gaze like a net enveloping her.

Augustus picked up Leng Yuexing and quickly returned to his room.

He gently placed Leng Yuexing on the king-size bed, then revealed his sharp teeth.

Augustus tasted the blood from every part of Cold Moon Star, leaving no inch of skin untouched.

After a brief taste, use saliva to repair the wound.

In the end, Leng Yuexing had no wounds on her body, but she felt like an orange being squeezed by bare hands, with the peel completely crushed.

Leng Yuexing didn't wake up until the morning of the next day, and his skin was indescribably sore and itchy.

Looking at Augustus, who was standing to the side watching him, Leng Yuexing sneered, reached out and grabbed his skin and pinched it hard.

Without even flinching, Augustus pierced his own lip with his fangs, held Leng Yuexing's lips in his mouth, and transferred his blood to her.

Not long afterward, all of Leng Yuexing's discomfort disappeared.

Leng Yuexing released her hand and said in a relatively good mood, "Today we should have a proper discussion about our cooperation."

Upon hearing this, Augustus chuckled and said, "Alright."
