Chapter 13 He is Sick
Chapter 13 He is Sick
Seeing how understanding he was, Shen Wu couldn't help but smile and comforted him happily: "Lie down quietly, I'll go boil some water for you. Leave the wheat in the field to me, dear brother~".
After taking advantage of the person, Shen Wu turned around and walked out quickly. It was the first time for him to take advantage of someone in ancient times. To be honest, he was still a little cowardly. After saying that, he ran away.
The two of them tacitly forgot about the confrontation last night and did not mention it again.
I went to the kitchen and boiled two large pots of hot water. I scooped out a basin from one pot and kept it aside, and filled the rest of the water in a clean water jug at home.
The remaining water in the pot is used to heat the buns, and half of the water in the other pot is also filled out.
First make rice porridge in the pot, then put the water out in a large basin and place it at the kitchen door as backup water for washing.
After finishing all this, Shen Wu brought the almost dried water to Gu Zhou. His hands that were holding the basin were no longer able to hold anything to drink, so Shen Wu ran to the kitchen again before he finished.
Gu Zhou could only hear the sound of the door opening and closing while he was lying down. When he sat up, he saw a large basin of water on the ground. Just as he was wondering what it was for, Shen Wu pushed the door open from outside, holding a large ceramic jar for drinking water in one hand and a large porcelain bowl in the other.
"Why are you up again?"
Shen Wu put down what he was holding and poured a bowl of water over.
"Now that you've sat up, would you like a drink of water?"
"Okay, sorry to trouble you."
When Gu Zhou opened his mouth, his voice was unusually hoarse and he was stunned.
Shen Wu teased, "It seems that I am a little slow in cooking. Thank you for waiting for so long."
"No...should..." Gu Zhou couldn't even utter a few words before he could no longer make a sound.
Shen Wu hurriedly brought the water over and was about to feed the child. If the child didn't drink, and if he became mute, it would all be her fault.
Gu Zhou had never been fed like this by anyone except his parents, so he was not used to it. He subconsciously wanted to take the drink himself, but was suppressed by Shen Wu's preemptive words.
"Drink it directly. You have to fetch the water yourself. This bed needs to be taken out to dry in the sun for a day."
Zhuo took Shen Wu's hand and gulped down the whole bowl.
After drinking this bowl of soup, my stomach felt a little warm, and I actually felt that the feeling of weakness in my body was much relieved.
"Do you want more?" Shen Wu saw that he had finished drinking it and asked if he wanted another bowl.
"Okay." This time, his voice was no longer hoarse, but a little weak.
Shen Wu fed him another bowl, and Gu Zhou stopped drinking.
Putting down the bowl, Shen Wu measured Gu Zhou's temperature with the back of her hand. His forehead didn't feel as hot as it did at the beginning, but it was still a little hot. If the fever didn't go away during the day, she would have to take Gu Zhou to see a doctor.
Shen Wu's action made Gu Zhou freeze. His whole body was as stiff as a board and he didn't know what to do with his hands and feet.
Shen Wu was thinking about something and didn't notice that something was wrong with Gu Zhou.
A faint light appeared in the sky and seeped into the house. Shen Wu saw that it was almost time, so he gave Gu Zhou some instructions and went to the field to harvest the wheat.
"There is rice porridge and hot buns in the pot. When my sister wakes up, ask her to serve you a bowl. There is useful water left at the kitchen door, you can use it when the time comes."
Afraid that people would try to keep him, Shen Wu turned around and walked out. His figure was so fast that it was as if there was an evil ghost following him.
Gu Zhou did speak, but the first thing he said was that he was going there. He understood what Jiang Yu meant and stopped talking about going.
With doubt, he asked, "Do you know where the land is?"
Shen Wu paused as she was pushing the door. "I knock!" She really didn't know this.
He withdrew his hand that was about to push the door, turned around embarrassedly and smiled awkwardly: "Well... I really don't know. I have been out three times since I woke up. Once was to the back mountain, once was to the riverside, and the other time was when I was looking for wood for the sickle."
Just as they were talking, they heard the wooden door of the main room creak.
Gu Zhou knew that it was his younger sister who had gotten up, so he called her over: "Little sister, come to Jiang Yu's room."
Gu Wei was originally sleepy with hazy eyes. She was just about to wash her face when she heard her brother's voice coming from Jiang Yu's room. Although she was a little confused, Gu Wei was very obedient and went over.
When I pushed the door open, I saw my brother leaning against the wall. His face was pale and bloodless.
"Brother! What's wrong with you!" Gu Wei rushed over and pulled at her brother's sleeves in a crying voice.
"I'm fine, just a little tired."
Even though she was holding onto her brother, Gu Wei was still afraid.
This was the case before her mother passed away, and she was afraid that her brother would become like her.
"Are you really okay? Really?" Gu Wei almost hung on Gu Zhou and asked several times to confirm.
"Your brother is just tired, come down and don't press him, let him rest for a while"
Shen Wu stepped forward and picked Gu Wei up, speaking in a gentle and comforting voice.
"Little sister, take Jiang Yu to our fields later and help her harvest the wheat. I'll hold her here and watch over her."
Shen Wu wanted to refuse the offer of the little sister following him, but then he remembered something and stopped talking.
Before leaving, Shen Wu gave another reminder: "If you feel uncomfortable, take a nap. There will be rice in the pot when you wake up. I'll go to the fields first."
Shen Wu took the sickle and followed his younger sister out the door.
Even though he was lying down, Gu Zhou didn't relax at all, and his heart was still hanging like a weight.
Jiang Yu felt something was wrong after he woke up. The sudden incident made him not know how to deal with it.
He wanted to see whether Jiang Yu was pretending or really didn't remember.
I didn't expect that I would ask this on impulse last night. Based on Jiang Yu's reaction last night, there must be something wrong.
But with his wildest imagination, he could only think of the possibility that it was possessed by a monster from the mountains. However, as soon as this bold guess came to his mind, he suppressed it.
The little brother next to me was still sleeping soundly. The little baby was sleeping soundly, smacking his lips occasionally, but there was no sign of waking up.
Gu Zhou was still worried. He wanted to get up from the bed and carry his younger brother to the field to check. However, as soon as his feet touched the ground, he collapsed like boneless mud.
Helplessly, Gu Zhou had to lie back on the bed again. Perhaps because of tiredness, Gu Zhou felt sleepy as soon as he returned to bed.
After a trance, Gu Zhou fell asleep along with his younger brother.
