Chapter 1520 Epilogue
Chapter 1520 Epilogue
After the banquet at Dingqinglou ended, Qin Hao and Huo Dongfeng escorted Old Master Cui home and settled him in. They stood at the gate of the courtyard and looked at each other, both feeling somewhat reluctant to leave.
Cui Guomin, that good-for-nothing, really can't hold his liquor. They hadn't even really put up a fight before he collapsed, slumped over the table, and was fast asleep. They couldn't exactly force the old man to drink, could they? He's getting on in years; too much alcohol is bad for his health.
The two stood at the alley entrance, enjoying the evening breeze, both still feeling the urge to drink more. Huo Dongfeng rubbed his hands together and looked at Qin Hao: "How about we find somewhere to have another drink?"
Qin Hao's eyes lit up, and he immediately slapped his thigh: "That's exactly what I wanted!"
The two hit it off immediately. Dingqinglou was definitely out of the question; after all, it was their workplace, and it wouldn't look good if their subordinates saw them drunk. Although Huo Dongfeng usually mingled with his employees, he still knew his limits.
"Where should we go for a drink?" Huo Dongfeng scratched his head, at a loss for words.
Qin Hao pondered for a moment, then suddenly thought of a place, a smile playing on his lips: "How about Nightfall?"
Huo Dongfeng waved his hand and said, "Let's go!"
The two walked to the street corner, hailed a taxi, gave the address of Nightshade Bar, and the taxi slowly drove away, heading towards the city center.
Before long, the taxi stopped in front of Nightshade Bar. A flashing neon sign hung at the entrance, the two large characters "Nightshade" standing out prominently, exuding a touch of modern chic. Pushing open the door, soft music drifted in, the lighting was dim, and neatly arranged tables and chairs were set up. A singer was softly performing on stage, creating a relaxed and languid atmosphere.
The bartender was tidying up the glasses behind the bar when he looked up and recognized Qin Hao. He immediately smiled warmly and rushed over: "Brother Qiang, what brings you here today? Same as usual?"
Although Qin Hao only sings at the bar occasionally now, instead of being a regular performer like before, everyone in the bar knows that his relationship with the bar owner, Yang Xiaoyun, is special, and no one dares to neglect him.
Qin Hao greeted him with a smile, then looked at Huo Dongfeng beside him: "How about something strong, like vodka?"
Upon hearing this, Huo Dongfeng's eyes immediately lit up. He slapped his thigh and said excitedly, "I think it's good. This stuff is potent, and it'll keep you warm."
"Alright! Brother Qiang, Brother Huo, please have a seat. I'll go get the drinks and a couple of snacks for you." The bartender quickly replied, warmly leading the two to a table next to the bar, then turned to prepare the drinks and snacks.
Before long, the bartender brought over a bottle of vodka, two glasses, and several dishes of snacks to accompany the drinks—fried peanuts, braised edamame, and smashed cucumber, all hearty dishes to go with the alcohol.
"Come on, Lao Huo, let's have a drink!" Qin Hao raised his glass to Huo Dongfeng.
"Let's have one!" Huo Dongfeng also raised his glass, lightly clinked it with Qin Hao's, tilted his head back, and took a big gulp. The spicy liquor slid down his throat, the burning sensation spreading instantly, sliding down his throat to his stomach, a warm current spreading from his stomach to his whole body, and much of his fatigue and chill dissipated.
"That's great!" Huo Dongfeng wiped his mouth, a satisfied smile spreading across his face. "This wine is strong!"
As the two drank and ate snacks, watching the singer's performance on stage and listening to soothing music, the lingering feeling of not having had enough to drink gradually subsided.
Just as the two were enjoying their drinks, a group of shady-looking thugs barged in. The leader was a short, fat man with a round belly, a crooked neck, a cigarette dangling from his mouth, and an arrogant expression. Behind him were about a dozen henchmen, all looking slovenly and dressed in flashy clothes, their eyes scanning the bar with menacing intent.
Seeing this, the waiter quickly stepped forward to stop them: "Gentlemen, is there anything wrong? We are open for business, please do not cause trouble."
"Causing trouble?" The fat man sneered, shoving the waiter aside. The waiter stumbled and almost fell.
"I'm here to show my support, what are you doing causing trouble? Stop talking nonsense and get out of the way!"
As the fat man spoke, ignoring the waiter's attempts to stop him, he swaggered onto the stage, snatched the microphone from the singer's hand, and the singer, terrified, quickly retreated to the side, too afraid to utter a sound. The fat man cleared his throat and then began to wail and howl, his voice extremely unpleasant, completely off-key, yet he seemed quite pleased with himself, twisting his fat body as he sang, looking utterly comical.
Huo Dongfeng frowned and cursed impatiently, "What kind of crap is this? It's fucking awful, worse than a pig being slaughtered, it's driving me crazy!"
He was enjoying his drink when the fat man's interruption made him feel irritated.
Qin Hao frowned, his face darkening. He beckoned the bartender and asked in a low voice, "Who is this guy?"
The bartender looked troubled, leaned close to Qin Hao, lowered his voice, and said cautiously, "Brother Qiang, this kid's name is Erhu. He's a notorious thug in the east of the city. He's been eyeing our bar lately. He said he wants to take over the place and that we have to give him half of our profits every month, or he'll come and cause trouble every day. Our boss didn't agree, so they come every day, either harassing customers or, like today, going on stage and disrupting business."
Qin Hao nodded, having a general idea of what was going on. Another thug trying to make a living by collecting protection money, just like Taozi before, only more arrogant and shameless.
Just then, a cold yet angry voice came from backstage: "Don't go too far!"
Everyone looked in the direction of the sound and saw Yang Xiaoyun walking out from backstage. She was wearing a simple black dress, her hair was tied up, and she looked angrily at Erhu on the stage.
When Erhu saw Yang Xiaoyun, a grin spread across his face. He stopped singing, held up the microphone, and said in a nonchalant tone, "Boss Yang, that's not right of you. I brought my brothers here to support you. We had a few drinks, and on a whim, I decided to sing a song to liven things up. It's not illegal, is it?"
"Is this supposed to be a way to liven things up? You're clearly just here to cause trouble!" Yang Xiaoyun was so angry that her shoulders were trembling.
Seeing this, Erhu's gang burst into laughter, making inappropriate jokes and staring at Yang Xiaoyun with malicious intent. The scene was extremely arrogant.
Just then, a sudden, mocking voice came from the direction of the bar, breaking the chaos: "It's one thing to be so ugly, but to sing so badly is just an ear-polluting experience. Don't they say that when God closes a door, he opens a window? If all else fails, a person with good character can still make a living. Someone like you is a complete defective product. Maybe you should be sent back to the furnace for a fresh start."
As soon as Erhu started howling, the DJ wisely turned off the sound system, so Qin Hao's voice could be heard very clearly by everyone in the bar.
As soon as he finished speaking, the bar fell silent.
Upon hearing this, Erhu instantly exploded, his face turning bright red. Holding up the microphone, he roared at the audience, "Who? Who the hell is talking there? If you've got the guts, step forward!"
He was used to running rampant in the east of the city, and no one had ever dared to humiliate him in public like this, especially in front of so many people. This made him lose face completely.
His response was an empty bottle. With a "whoosh," the empty bottle flew from the bar counter, hitting Erhu squarely on the forehead. With a muffled "bang," the bottle shattered instantly, splashing liquor all over Erhu's face, and blood immediately began to flow from his forehead.
Erhu was hit so hard he saw stars and staggered back a few steps, almost falling off the stage. He clutched his head, wincing in pain, his eyes filled with anger and ferocity.
"Boss, it's that kid! It's the guy over there at the bar who threw a bottle at you!" one of the henchmen shouted, pointing towards the bar.
Yang Xiaoyun also saw Qin Hao. She was stunned for a moment, then looked anxious. She quickly walked over, grabbed Qin Hao's arm, and whispered, "Why are you here? Don't be impulsive. There are too many of them. I'll call the police right now!"
As she spoke, she turned to go to the bar to make a call, but when she picked up the phone, she found that the phone line had been cut at some point, and the call couldn't go through. Yang Xiaoyun's face instantly turned pale, and she was secretly anxious. Erhu's gang had about ten people, while Qin Hao and Huo Dongfeng were only two people. The bar's waiters were all young and useless. If a fight broke out, they would definitely suffer.
Erhu wiped the blood from his forehead, his eyes glaring fiercely at Qin Hao and Huo Dongfeng. Leading a dozen or so thugs, he menacingly approached the bar and surrounded the two. Looking down at Qin Hao, he pointed to the wound on his forehead and gritted his teeth, saying, "You're in trouble, you know? You dared to smash my head, you've got some nerve!"
He paused, then his tone became even more arrogant: "Without 50,000 yuan for medical expenses, neither of you will leave this house today! Not a penny less, or I'll break your legs!"
Upon hearing this, Huo Dongfeng chuckled and turned to Qin Hao, teasingly saying, "Just this little injury, a scrape, and you're asking for 50,000? If that's the case, wouldn't all my injuries combined make me a millionaire by now?"
Qin Hao laughed, leaning back in his chair, looking at Erhu with icy eyes and a hint of disdain in his tone: "I don't have 50,000 yuan, but I can make do with 50,000 yuan. I just don't know if you bunch of good-for-nothings can handle it."
Seeing Qin Hao and Huo Dongfeng surrounded by his own men, yet still so arrogant and fearless, Erhu was so angry that veins bulged on his forehead, and his anger was about to burst forth. He roared, "Kill them! Kill them to death! I'll take responsibility if anything happens!"
Upon hearing this, Erhu's men immediately rubbed their hands together, fists clenched, ready to charge at Qin Hao and Huo Dongfeng. Huo Dongfeng also sat up straight, his eyes becoming alert, prepared to attack at any moment. Qin Hao, however, remained calm, picking up his wine glass and taking a small sip, his face showing no sign of panic.
Just then, one of the thugs suddenly stepped forward and blocked their way. Erhu was already furious, and seeing his underling dare to block them, he instantly exploded with rage. He grabbed the underling by the collar and roared, "What do you mean by that? You're siding with outsiders, aren't you? Don't you want to stay in this business anymore?"
The underling was being pulled so hard by Erhu that he could hardly breathe, and his face turned pale, but he still said cautiously, "Big brother, don't be impulsive, these two people... I think I know these two people."
"Know them?" Erhu said angrily, "So what if you know them? Even if the King of Heaven himself came today, I wouldn't give him any face! They dared to smash my things, they have to pay the price!"
"No, boss," the henchman hurriedly explained, his voice trembling, "it was the two of them who sent Brother Tao in!"
Erhu didn't react for a moment: "Brother Tao? Which Brother Tao?"
"That was your former boss!" The underling nodded quickly. "I went with him that day and saw it with my own eyes! He took on ten of us like it was nothing."
Erhu's expression instantly changed. His arrogance and ferocity vanished without a trace, replaced by fear and panic. He knew Tao Ge's abilities. Tao Ge had been a notorious thug in Donglin for many years, with a number of underlings. Even so, he had been easily defeated by these two men and sent to prison, where he had served six or seven years.
He knew his own limitations; he was far inferior to Brother Tao. If he really fought these two, he probably wouldn't even be able to touch them, and would end up like Brother Tao. Thinking of this, Erhu's legs began to tremble.
He quickly put on a fawning smile, his fat face squeezing together, and said awkwardly, "So it's Brother Qiang! What a coincidence! I was blind to your greatness and didn't know this bar was under your protection. I'm so sorry, so sorry. Please forgive me, you're a magnanimous person."
Qin Hao completely ignored her, not even glancing at her. He simply shook his head at Huo Dongfeng, his tone tinged with disappointment: "I was planning to have a drink and stretch my muscles, but I didn't expect this guy to be such a coward. He's really boring."
Huo Dongfeng chuckled and patted Qin Hao on the shoulder, his tone tinged with pride: "That's what you call becoming famous overnight! Back when I was hanging out on the streets of Donglin, it was the same thing. I took down the most famous thug at the time and even earned the nickname 'One of the Three Heroes of Donglin'."
Erhu stood to the side, his face turning pale and then red, so embarrassed he wanted to disappear.
After a while, Erhu mustered up his courage and said cautiously, "Brother Qiang, Brother Huo, I really didn't know this bar was under your protection. We brothers are just trying to make a living this way. We were confused for a moment and that's why we came here to cause trouble. From now on, we will definitely not cause trouble in this bar again, nor will we bother Boss Yang anymore. What do you think?"
Qin Hao then looked up, glanced at Erhu, pointed to Yang Xiaoyun beside him, and said in a calm tone, "Every wrong has its perpetrator, and every debt its debtor. You've offended Boss Yang today. Whether he forgives you or not depends on whether he forgives you or not. It has nothing to do with us."
Erhu quickly turned around, facing Yang Xiaoyun with a fawning smile, and kept bowing and apologizing: "Boss Yang, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, it's all my fault. I was blind and didn't know you were important. I shouldn't have come to your bar to cause trouble and made you angry. Please forgive me this time."
Seeing Erhu, who had been fierce and arrogant, now bowing and apologizing like a kowtow, Yang Xiaoyun's anger subsided considerably. She was also worried that if she really angered Erhu, he might act rashly, and even if Qin Hao and Huo Dongfeng were strong fighters, they wouldn't be able to withstand the enemy's numbers. If they got hurt, it would be a huge loss.
She hesitated for a moment, then turned and walked to the bar, took out a bottle of 60° vodka from the cabinet, placed it in front of Erhu, and said in an icy tone, "Drink this bottle, and we'll call it even."
Erhu's face turned deathly pale as he looked at the bottle of 60° vodka.
But thinking of what would happen to Brother Tao, he gritted his teeth, picked up the bottle, unscrewed the cap, tilted his head back, and began to drink in large gulps. The pungent liquor burned his throat and stomach, choking him and causing him to cough incessantly, tears streaming down his face. But he dared not stop and could only grit his teeth and keep chugging it down.
In just a few minutes, he finished a bottle of 60° vodka. He put down the bottle, his body went limp, and he almost collapsed to the ground. His face was ashen, his eyes were unfocused, and he mumbled "I'm sorry" and "I'll never do it again."
Qin Hao frowned, a look of disgust on his face, and waved his hand: "With this kind of drinking capacity, he's supposed to be in the underworld? Hurry up and carry him away, lest he vomit and make a mess, affecting our drinking."
Erhu's henchmen, as if granted a pardon, rushed forward, helped the limp Erhu up, and hurriedly fled the bar, fearing that Qin Hao would change his mind and cause them further trouble.
Watching Erhu and his gang flee in a disheveled state, everyone in the bar breathed a sigh of relief and began to discuss among themselves, their eyes filled with curiosity as they looked at Qin Hao.
Once she was sure Erhu and his gang were all gone, Yang Xiaoyun finally breathed a sigh of relief, her heart finally at ease. She turned around, looked at Qin Hao with a curious expression, and asked, "This Erhu seems quite afraid of you?"
Before Qin Hao could even speak, Huo Dongfeng jumped in, patting his chest and vividly recounting how Qin Hao single-handedly defeated ten thugs at Dingqing Tower and dealt with Taozi's gang. He embellished the story, describing Qin Hao's kung fu as something miraculous, from how Qin Hao made his move, how he knocked down a thug with a single punch, to how he sent Taozi to prison—his spittle flying as he spoke, making it a truly captivating tale.
Qin Hao sat to the side, secretly chuckling to himself. No wonder Cui Xiaohong got pregnant out of wedlock and insisted on having the child so she could be with Huo Dongfeng. This guy must be very good at sweet-talking people.
Yang Xiaoyun listened with amazement, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Qin Hao with admiration: "You know kung fu? How come I didn't know?"
As she spoke, she held up her fingers and began to count them one by one: "You can bake cakes, sing, and do kung fu... Is there anything you can't do?"
Qin Hao shrugged, a smug smile on his face: "I'll have to think about it carefully. This question is too difficult. I really can't think of anything I can't do right now. I'll tell you when I figure it out."
Yang Xiaoyun spat, a coquettish look on her face: "You're getting all worked up just because I said you're fat! You're not modest at all."
After a few jokes, Yang Xiaoyun asked curiously, "By the way, what made you decide to come here for drinks today? I've never seen you guys come here before."
Qin Hao and Huo Dongfeng exchanged a glance and both gave each other helpless smiles. Qin Hao scratched his head and said, "I was drinking with Cui Guomin and the others at Dingqing Tower just now. That slacker Cui Guomin has such a low alcohol tolerance that neither of us had enough to drink, so I thought of you... coming here."
Huo Dongfeng immediately joked, "Actually, those last three words of yours are completely unnecessary! What do you mean by 'thinking of this place'? You were clearly thinking of Boss Yang, but you were too embarrassed to say it. How pretentious."
Yang Xiaoyun's cheeks instantly turned crimson, a hint of shyness flashing in her eyes. She glared at Huo Dongfeng angrily, "Looks like you haven't had enough to drink. Wait, I have a bottle of fine wine that I've been treasuring for several years in my office. If I bring it out today, it will definitely shut you up and stop you from talking nonsense."
"Oh? A rare vintage wine?" Huo Dongfeng's eyes lit up, and he said excitedly, "Then I really have to try it."
Afterwards, Yang Xiaoyun led Qin Hao and Huo Dongfeng to her office. The office wasn't large, but it was simply yet warmly furnished. A bookshelf against the wall was filled with books, the desk was clean and tidy, and there was a small sofa in the corner. Yang Xiaoyun took out a beautifully packaged bottle of baijiu from the desk drawer, opened the cap, and a rich aroma of liquor instantly filled the air.
"This is a bottle of my treasured wine. It's been stored away for years, and I've been reluctant to drink it. Today, I'm bringing it out so we can have a few drinks together," Yang Xiaoyun said with a smile, pouring a glass for each of the three of them.
The three sat on the sofa, drinking and chatting. Qin Hao and Huo Dongfeng did most of the drinking, since Yang Xiaoyun's alcohol tolerance was far inferior to theirs; she could only take a sip occasionally and chat with them.
After a few rounds of drinks, Huo Dongfeng was quite drunk, and his tongue was starting to slur. He looked at Qin Hao and Yang Xiaoyun, and suddenly, with a thick lisp, he mumbled, "I said... Ji Qiang, Boss Yang... when can I drink your wedding wine?"
Yang Xiaoyun's cheeks instantly flushed crimson, like ripe apples, her eyes filled with shyness. Just as she was about to speak in her defense, she heard Qin Hao slur his words and reply, "Don't worry... it'll definitely be done before the end of the year! I guarantee you'll have your fill of drinking!"
Yang Xiaoyun was stunned. Her face showed a mix of shyness and panic, but she did not deny it. She just lowered her head, took a small sip of her wine, and her cheeks grew redder and redder.
Huo Dongfeng, who was still drunk, sobered up a lot after hearing Qin Hao's words. He gave Qin Hao a knowing look, then stood up unsteadily, hiccuped, and mumbled, "Okay...okay! Then I'll wait...wait to drink your wedding wine! I'm going back first, Erpang is waiting for me at home."
As he spoke, he staggered out of the office, making sure to close the door behind him, leaving Qin Hao and Yang Xiaoyun some space to be alone.
After Huo Dongfeng left, the office fell silent instantly, with only the sound of their breathing remaining. Yang Xiaoyun angrily reached out and pinched Qin Hao, saying coquettishly, "Alright, stop pretending. I know you're not drunk; you were just saying that on purpose because you were drunk, weren't you?"
Qin Hao shrugged, a mischievous smile on his face: "I wasn't pretending, what I just said was all true."
Yang Xiaoyun glared at Qin Hao, but her eyes didn't show any real anger. Instead, they were filled with a hint of shyness and expectation: "You could have found a sunny day to tell me properly, but you had to say it while you were drunk. Do you expect me to believe you or not?"
"I'm just afraid you'll refuse," Qin Hao said, looking aggrieved. "If I tell you seriously and you refuse, I'll lose face. How can I face you in the future? If I say it while I'm drunk, even if you refuse, I can find an excuse to say I was drunk and talking nonsense, so it won't be too embarrassing."
Yang Xiaoyun burst out laughing, her serious expression crumbling, her eyes filled with amusement: "You really are a scoundrel, a rogue."
Qin Hao reached out and pulled her onto his lap, gently hugging her. He said seriously, "The news has already been spread, so you have no choice but to agree."
Yang Xiaoyun leaned against Qin Hao's chest, her cheeks flushed. She didn't struggle, but gently pinched Qin Hao and said coquettishly, "Although you're very boring, but... seeing how sincere you are, I'll reluctantly consider it."
Qin Hao smiled, holding her tightly, his heart filled with warmth. The night outside the window remained dark, but inside the office, the lights were soft, the aroma of wine filled the air, and the two nestled together, the atmosphere warm and sweet. Years of affection had finally found their home at this moment.
……
The 29th day of the twelfth lunar month is an auspicious day for weddings, receiving wealth, and starting a business.
The entrance to Dingqing Tower was brightly decorated with lanterns and colorful flags, stretching from the second floor all the way to the street. Two rows of flower baskets, gifts from relatives and friends, were placed at the entrance, extending all the way to the street corner.
Today is Qin Hao and Yang Xiaoyun's wedding.
Mr. and Mrs. Cui were exceptionally busy that day. Besides serving as witnesses, they also acted as the groom's parents. The old man wore a newly made Zhongshan suit, his hair was neatly combed, and his face was beaming with joy. The old woman wore a red cotton-padded jacket and bustled about, greeting guests with her feet barely touching the ground.
"Oh, congratulations, sister-in-law!" The old neighbors held her hands and said auspicious words.
"Congratulations to you too!" the old lady replied with a smile, but her eyes remained fixed on the doorway, waiting for the bride.
Cui Guomin, dressed in a newly bought suit and with his hair styled with gel, looked very energetic. As soon as he entered, he exclaimed, "Where's Ji Qiang? Where's the groom? I need to take a good look!"
Zhao Hailong also arrived. He looked much thinner, but his spirits were much better than before. His appliance repair shop was doing well, and things were gradually improving.
Liu Ye and Guo Dapao also rushed over to help.
"The groom is here!" someone shouted.
Qin Hao, dressed in a black suit with a red flower pinned to his chest, walked out. He usually dressed simply, but today's attire accentuated his dashing appearance.
"Not bad, not bad!" Cui Guomin looked him up and down: "He looks presentable!"
Qin Hao laughed and scolded, "Can't you speak properly?"
The crowd burst into laughter.
Firecrackers went off, crackling and popping all over the sky. Red confetti flew everywhere, landing on people's heads and shoulders, bringing good fortune and blessings.
A black Audi slowly pulled up at the entrance. It was Yang Xiaoyun's car, decorated as a wedding car today. The hood was adorned with large red ribbons, and the character "囍" (double happiness) was pasted on the doors.
The car door opened, and Yang Xiaoyun got out.
She wore a white wedding dress, her hair styled in an updo adorned with a pure white headpiece. Her face was adorned with exquisite bridal makeup, her eyes sparkling with a smile, making her breathtakingly beautiful.
"The bride is so beautiful!" someone exclaimed.
Qin Hao walked over and took her hand. Her hand was a little cold and trembling slightly. He tightened his grip and whispered in her ear, "Don't be nervous, I'm here."
Yang Xiaoyun looked up at him and smiled.
The wedding was held in the main hall of Dingqinglou Restaurant. The hall was decorated with a festive atmosphere, with large red "囍" (double happiness) characters pasted on the walls, candies and peanuts on the tables, and the air filled with the aroma of food and wine.
Grandpa Cui stood on the stage, holding the microphone, and cleared his throat.
"Dear relatives and friends, distinguished guests, today is the joyous occasion of my godson Ji Qiang and his goddaughter-in-law Yang Xiaoyun..."
A round of enthusiastic applause erupted from the audience.
Qin Hao stood below the stage, looking at Old Master Cui, his eyes welling up with tears. He knew that the old man truly regarded him as a son. He would remember this kindness in his heart.
"Now, please have the bride and groom exchange tokens of love!"
Qin Hao took out a ring and put it on Yang Xiaoyun's ring finger. Yang Xiaoyun also took out a ring and put it on his finger. Their hands clasped tightly together.
Cheers erupted and applause thundered.
The banquet began. One dish after another was served, all of them signature dishes of Dingqinglou. Sweet and sour pork, stir-fried potatoes, green peppers, and eggplant, stewed chicken with mushrooms, sauerkraut and pork belly... the aroma was irresistible, whetting the appetite.
Choi Kookmin held a wine glass and went from table to table offering toasts.
Liu Ye and Guo Dapao huddled together, chatting about business. They were so engrossed in their conversation that they forgot to drink.
Huo Dongfeng was exceptionally happy today, and he drank half a jin of baijiu by himself. He sat there, watching the newlyweds on the stage, his eyes a little moist.
He recalled many things. He remembered his youthful exuberance, the days and nights in prison, and the departing figure of Cui Xiaohong.
After several rounds of drinks and dishes, some people started to urge the newlyweds to perform.
"Ji Qiang, sing one!"
"Yes! Sing one! Aren't you a karaoke champion?"
Qin Hao didn't refuse, took the microphone, and cleared his throat.
"I'm dedicating the song 'The Moon Represents My Heart' to my wife."
As the music started, he began to sing:
"You ask me how deep my love is, how much I love you. My feelings are true, my love is true, the moon represents my heart..."
His voice was deep and gentle, full of affection. Yang Xiaoyun stood beside him, looking at him with a smile in her eyes.
When the song ended, thunderous applause erupted.
"One more!"
"Yes! One more!"
Qin Hao waved his hand: "We can't sing anymore, or this restaurant will have to be turned into a bar. Everyone, eat and drink well, let's drink until we're drunk!"
Everyone burst into laughter. (End of Chapter)
